The impressive view of Joseph Canyon can be seen from the Joseph Canyon Viewpoint. Located off of Highway 3, the facility has interpretive signs of the canyon and the role it played as the winter home of the Chief Joseph Band of the Nez Perce tribe and their journey from the area in 1877.
As part of a series of Nez Perce Historic Trail sites, this facility is managed by the National Park Service.
