Columbia Gorge Express

Take the Columbia Gorge Express on your next visit to Multnomah Falls. Operated by the Columbia Area Transit (CAT), the Express offers round-trip fare between Portland and Multnomah Falls.

CAT offers up to 8 rounds trips a day between Portland, Multnomah Falls, Cascade Locks, and Hood River, with additional connections to The Dalles. Buses are climate controlled, have Wi-Fi, and can accommodate 2-3 bikes.

Sit back and enjoy the fun, easy ride to some of the best the Gorge has to offer.

Traveler Alert:

Between July 20, 2021, and Sept. 19, 2021, all Multnomah Falls visitors must book an advance ticket to take in the sight of Oregon’s tallest waterfall as well as to explore the historic 1925 Multnomah Falls Lodge. Visitors who ride a shuttle (like Columbia Gorge Express) to Multnomah Falls do not need to book an advance ticket — they just need to show their shuttle pass at the entrance instead.

Also, before you head out, check with USFS for the most up-to-date information on alerts, conditions and trail
closures.
