Close to great hikes, bike rides, lakes, wildflowers, birding sites, Government Camp and the Oregon Trail. Family owned and operated since 1982. Summit Meadow Cabins are perfect for a romantic getaway, corporate retreat or family reunion.

Once the snow falls, leave your car behind and cross-country ski or snowshoe 1.5 miles to reach the cabins located in the middle of great xc ski and snowshoe trails some of which Summit Meadow’s machine groom.

Falls Creek A-Frame

Great spot for our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed cabin. We were a little less impressed by threadbare couch, stained chair and overall weathered appearance. Cabin is not far off highway, but road sucks. Outdoor seating lacks decking would which be nice improvement. Would we return? Maybe.

Good cabin, well located, good service

We stayed a family of six in the Mineral Creek Cabin. It was easy to find following the directions - and has a good location for the hikes in the Mount Hood area. The cabin had all we needed for sleeping, preparing dinner, and showering. We received a warm welcome with relevant tips about the area - and when we saw traces of mice, within half an hour, we were provided with mouse traps. Not too many mosquitoes even though it was in season and close to a small creek. A very pleasant stay.

Best XC ski cabin vacation ever!!

We have been visiting these cabins for 15 years and it's always a great trip! The Summit Meadow Cabins are an amazing unique and super fun experience in the winter! It took us about an hour to ski into the cabin...right up to the front door. It's a easy ski for beginners with just mild rolling hills. The space is simple and rustic while always clean and cozy. I appreciate that it is a quiet place to relax without TV or internet distractions. We play games, drink wine, cook good food, and ski or snowshoe day and night. I highly recommend it!

Perfect getaway in the woods

We went to Oregon to immerse ourselves in green, and this cabin sure delivered! Looking out of each window, all you would see is trees. The little creek right next to the cabin was the icing on the cake. (We stayed in the Falls Creek A-Frame) Sitting out there at night roasting marshmallows over the fire was pure bliss. And a lot less bugs than what I had anticipated. The 2 mile road to Trillium Lake is a bit rough (might want to rent something other than a sedan, but ours survived it), but the lake itself is so worth it. Absolutely stunning. We made reservations to have Mount Hood Adventures drop off kayaks and paddle boards in the mornings, and had a blast exploring the lake. The cabins are also very close to the Ski Bowl adventure park, which the kids loved. (zipline, go-karts, bungee jump, trampoline, pony rides...) Overall, this cabin is a great base for a family vacation. It even had board games for fun time in the evenings. The only thing one could wish for would be a less creaky floor, as it is nearly impossible for the upstairs sleepers to make it down to the bathroom at night without waking up everyone else. But I'd still go back in a heartbeat. Wish it wasn't so far for us.

Trillium Lake Forever

We just finished our third year staying at Summit Meadows Cabins. Every year (same weekend) we ski in with a group of friends and have a wonderful time! The Meadow Chalet is great for our group and has a magnificent view of Mt Hood straight out the living room window. The cabin is very clean, warm and has everything you need other than food and clothing. The owners are great and very helpful with anything you need. We love that the cabin is ours every year, same weekend until we want to give it up. We refer to the weekend as TLF (Trillium Lake Forever) as we are never going to stop going. :)
