October 9, 2025YamcoUnit 32 - a great stay!
Came for a long October weekend. Life long Oregonian, and yet I'd never heard of Cavalier Condos before. The view was spectacular! The building sits up on a hill, look right out on the beach and ocean. The complex has a set of stairs down to the beach. This is an uncrowded beach at this time of year. Very walkable too. I stayed in unit 32. I had assigned, covered parking. It really was only 7 small steps up to the unit from the walkway. The condo was spacious and very clean. Fireplace - I didn't use, but it was ready with a load of wood if you wanted. Bathrooms, very traditional, small. One with a corner shower and other with a bath/shower. Updated Toto toilets - nice. The kitchen was very clean. Spacious cupboards set aside for you to use for you own food. Fridge, clean, empty - put what you want in; take it all when you go. Enough dishes, cooking implements, to satisfy my needs. Quiet - I didn't really hear anyone up, down or next to me. If the units were occupied, I didn't hear. The balcony had 4 chairs and 2 little tables. When sitting in the chairs, you were secluded. Even at the edge of the balcony I didn't feel exposed or lack of privacy. All in all a very nice condo, excellent view, terrific sunsets. Whale views abounded in the nearby Rock Creek State Park/Whale Cove, and Depot Bay - I think they were the resident ones, but they were spouting and a bit visible. These grays were not making leaps and such, just lumbering along eating. Newport bay front maybe 15-20 min south; Lincoln City Outlet Mall, maybe 15 min north. Great location this condo!

Our favorite place on the coast
We always enjoy the Cavalier. It is right on the ocean for a spectacular view and easy to walk on the beach. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a full kitchen. The manager, Simon, remembers our names.

Great Family Vacation spot
My family had a great experience at Cavalier Condos! The property management was so helpful. It's a great location and the extra amenities, ie - indoor heated pool, sauna, bbq grills, beach toys, bounce house, ... made it a wonderful place to just "hang out" all day. We were a large family group, had 4 condos in a row, and this place had something for everyone. We will def be coming back to this place!

Great place for families
We've stayed here for multiple years and always love our time at Cavalier. It's perfect for families who want to be able to cook their own meals and do multiple activities. The beach access is fast and the views from the condos are spectacular; all of the condos have views of the Pacific Ocean. The close driving proximity to Chester's Market make it easy to get needed supplies, with Big Mountain Coffee next door as one of our frequent visits, too. For activities at Cavalier, the heated indoor pool and game room add extra on-site activities for families, too. So, even if it rains, you can still go swimming and play pool or ping pong. Kite flying, agate hunting, and long walks on the beach are awesome on the beach below the condos. We saw surfers on the beach this time, too. Salishan Resort is just up the road, where they have golfing, shopping, coffee shops/bakeries, and zipline adventures. Depoe Bay, Lincoln City, and Newport are all nearby, along with multiple state parks. Numerous other beaches, tide pools, hiking are all within 30 min drive. We had amazing sightings of whales on this trip, right from our dining room window. Another cool feature is that inside each condo there is a fireplace to enjoy on the cool nights. Plus, the staff at Cavalier Condos are great. Simon and his crew are top notch! They are so helpful and take great care of the property. We can't wait to go back next summer for more family fun.

Amazing time! We will be back!
Went to Cavalier Condos for 5 night while in town for a family reunion. We had stayed there before and again enjoyed the beautiful property, friendly & efficient service as well as all of the amenities of the condo itself. We all had an amazing time!!
