Best Getaway Stay at Wallowa Lake
Awesome location for a stay at Wallowa Lake! We enjoyed 5 nights in a super clean little cabin conveniently located to walk to the lake and marina, miniature golf courses (two courses), horse stables, go carts, the Tram, the Grill restaurant, Vali's restaurant, and the cute little shops. Check-in was so easy! The owners are so kind - a great experience. The cabin had two beds, a little living room with gas fireplace, comfy couch and chairs, plus a dining table perfect for four. The kitchenette had a full refrigerator, regular stove with oven, microwave, and fully stocked with plates, cups, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, dish towels, and dish strainer. The beds all had linens with quilts, and the bedroom had a dresser, and a door to a back deck area looking out to the lawn. The bathroom had a full size shower with tub, small sink vanity that didn't have counter space there but there was a shelf above the toilet to put your toiletries. (I would recommend a small shelf by the sink too - which would be helpful). The cabins have rustic charm, and could use some updating, but were so comfortable and clean it made our stay enjoyable. Wallowa Lake Resort offers cabins and the Lodge rooms too. There are cabins with views of the lake, we chose this one by the river as it was close for our family gathering. The lawns in the area of this cluster of cabins was so lush and green, with nice trees for shade. The location was so wonderful, we literally parked our car and walked everywhere. Shops in the area have the nicest people working there, many are owners who live at the lake or nearby in Joseph. Highly recommend a stay.

Great place to just get away for the weekend !!!
Needed a getaway during off-season so visited Wallowa Lake Resort in mid-October. Cabin was perfect, well-kept and immaculately clean. Went hiking the following day and did a little sight-seeing. Stopped in Wallowa for breakfast at the Main Street Grill the last day there. Will try to make this trip annually,

Large cabin in middle of getting remodeled accepts dogs and views lake
The cabin/ house (22) is essentially great. it has a view of the lake with grass front yard, has a kitchen for making food and allows dogs. They are in the middle of fixing this one, so there is 3+ bedrooms and only 1 shower and some sheet rock showing, and there are wall heaters. It is decorated straight out of the 70s and the furniture is adequate and hopefully some pieces will be updated due to wear. The management company responded w concerns quickly. ps. almost no signal here, but you have free wifi. Would suggest: better driveway signage, knives that cut, games for guests, condiments for kitchen.

Nice cabins, Not to be confused with Wallowa Lake Lodge
We stayed here a few nights for our yearly vacation. We were in cabin 8, "Cottonwood". We arrived on a Thursday and stayed for three nights. For a rustic cabin, we thought it was very clean, and it was well stocked with kitchen supplies and grilling supplies with propane grill. You have to realize this is a rustic cabin, and NOT the Mariott, okay people?? Everything that is included and not included, is laid out in the 4-page reservation notice we received upon booking. READ through this so you know what to expect and what not to expect. We stayed in and grilled dinner two nights on the grill and also used the 2-burner stove with no issues. Yes, the kitchen is not big, but again, this is a rustic cabin, not the Marriott! Everything we needed was provided in this cabin, except for food and coffee. There is a covered porch with an eating table for two, which was very nice since it rained two of the three days. We had wild deer just a few feet from our porch to greet us one morning. Adequate space for parking and it was very quiet. However, we were here in mid-September when the crowd is dying down, so that helped. We were within walking distance to the tram and/or the park and marina. Now, why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.... First, I believe this cabin is attached to the owner's house and the main gift shop. Therefore, I think it shares the same hot water heater. My wife and I take 5-7 minute showers, with me taking a shower after her. Hot water was beginning to run out about half way through my shower on all days we were here. Also, the toilet would run sometimes and we would have to jiggle the handle to get it to stop. Bed was a little hard for what we are used to but it would not deter us from staying here again. Overall, we loved our stay here and would not hesitate to stay at this same cabin again. Great time, great memories!!

Wonderful spotless cabin with a little stream tucked in a cozy wooded corner
We rented Cabin 12 for 3 days and nights -- wonderful peaceful quiet cabin complete with babbling brook, spotless inside and out, fully stocked kitchen with everything needed for cooking in instead of eating out. Plenty of hot water for dishes and showers, quiet , deer ambling through, along with quail, woodpeckers, and song birds. Nice hiking trail and overlook for Wallowa Lake right up the hill 1/4 mile up the way, along with the tram, horseback rides, miniature golf, go carts and a few restaurants and ice cream shops you could walk to if you have kids. Just lovely.
