We measured the bed height to be 16". We need a min of 22" and "The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not specifically regulate bed height in hotels, which can lead to accessibility issues for wheelchair users. Ideally, accessible bed heights should be between 20 to 23 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress". Almost had an accident. We have stayed at the Valley River Inn many times prior to my husbands accident and have always enjoyed our stay. The remodel was needed and was quite nice. The H/C room was very spacious with a roll in shower and lots of room to move equipment around.

Get a top floor room
This hotel was beautiful and nicely appointed. We could not sleep though since the floors were super thin and creeky. Get a top floor room and you might be okay.

The rooms are very large and comfortable! Our Deluxe King room had a couch and table. Large tv's and very comfortable beds. We were very happy with our stay! We will definitely stay again as the price point was fantastic!!

View of the Willamette
The front desk staff was very helpful, friendly and efficient. We had booked a King room with a Rver patio online. When we arrived, he said that is not what we actually reserved. He made it right and gave us a King room on the river! The room was comfy and clean, nice upgrades. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the food from Sweetwaters was excellent. The renovated dining room and bar is fabulous!
