A Great Place to Stay for University Sportsball Fans
We stayed one night here in our recent Oregon road trip and were very pleasantly surprised! We got a very spacious, clean room right across the street from the university. The grounds were very well kept and immaculately clean. I had hoped to enjoy the heated pool, but the weather wasn’t being cooperative. Nearby there are tons of eateries and bars, and the front desk provides a helpful list of recommended places. We were so impressed with this hotel, we asked to stay an additional night. Unfortunately some university sportsball thing was happening the next day, and they were all booked up, so we carried on with our trip (to be fair, so was everyone else in town). Bottom line, whether you are a sportsball fan, or just someone passing through Eugene, the University Inn is a great place to stay during your visit.

Fabulous!
Excellent stay. Service was really friendly. Beds are very comfortable, and rooms clean. Price definitely reasonable. Location is super convenient, across the street from campus. Plenty of walkable dining options. Enjoyed the free biscuits and gravy every day.

A nice stay.
Very friendly and helpful, responsive employees. Motel itself is old but clearly they are working on renovations, and I found it quite quaint. Reasonably priced and located within walking distance to Hayward Field and campus. Would stay here again.

You get what you pay for lesson
We just stayed for one night.Bed was very firm but provided an ok night's rest. Ear plugs recommended plus slippers/socks when walking on the stained dirty carpet. Fortunately the carpet was a dark brown color.I wondered if it had ever been steam cleaned. The bathroom was adequate and appeared to have been recently remodeled. The bathroom door had multiple poorly patched holes the size of a fist plus a steel plate where the door had been kicked in.The walls also had unpainted repairs to holes in the wall. Perhaps the damage was caused by a disgruntled U of Oregon fan upset his team was defeated by the Utes or Huskies? I now understand why this hotel places a damage deposit at check in. The University Inn was less expensive than nearby competitors.I don't expect comparable amenities or ambience, just a decent nights sleep in a clean place. We won't be staying again at the University Inn.

Showed up and it is closed
Was headed to Eugene for an event had seen this place in the past and figured I would give it a try. Booked a room on line then when I showed up the driveway was blocked by fencing (but you can see cars and people inside) . Went into the "lobby' and the person there told me that the hotel had been closed since Nov 2020. So not sure what is gong on with the fenced in people but seems that this place is closed for regular guests at this point
