Sorry, we gave your room away because someone told us to change the name…
Check in was a mess, they gave away our room to someone who told them to “change the name” on the reservation. I mean someone walked in and literally took our room by simply telling them to change the name on the reservation - which I had booked through their website and prepaid! When we finally got to a different room - with no compensation for the mess they made, it was roomy, and relatively clean - but dang the walls in this place are paper thin. We could hear everything from the rooms beside us. It was so fun listening to an action movie at 5:30 am! 🤦♂️ And just to top it off, breakfast was literally two toasted but cold English muffins and a scoop of peanut butter. We asked for coffee and they got us coffee…in child sized cups. You’ll think you want to stay here for the location, but you’ll keep coming back for the incompetence!

Disappointed
We stayed here a few years ago and we were impressed with this facility but it has gone downhill quite a bit. We understand covid and remodeling can affect the quality of a motel stay and help is difficult. The elevator floor was very dirty with chips and Kleenex shreds on the floor and handprints all over the inside door all weekend. The beds are terrible. You can’t sit on the edge and have to sleep directly in the middle or you slide right off. They squeak loudly every time you move. I have as with long to pay the extra cost to stay here but am very disappointed. Won’t be back

Overpriced for what they offered
We stayed here for one night during a 4-day drive up the northwest coast. The hotel was short-staffed (like every business on the coast) but it showed more than at other hotels we stayed at. Check-in was very slow. Both ice machines were broken. Instead of a hot breakfast, they served a TINY bag breakfast (they didn't even have orange juice). The location and room were fine.

The best option in Tillamook
My husband and I spent two nights at the Ashley Inn. We chose a suite, which was spacious and comfortable. The room had been remodeled recently, and the furnishings were clean and new. The bathroom and sitting area, in particular, were well designed and roomy. We appreciated the cleanliness of our room and of the hotel overall. We also appreciated the Covid precautions, including signs reminding guests to wear masks in all public spaces. We felt very safe at the hotel. This property is listed as a two-star hotel, but with a few small improvements it could easily become a three-star property. Providing in-room coffee service and/or self-serve coffee in the lobby is generally standard for most properties and would be a welcome addition here. In-room coffee makers could even be provided upon request for those guests who want them. Offering local channels on the TV is also recommended. The Roku TV had many channels but nothing to allow us to watch local news. Several other reviewers have commented about a smell in the rooms. I noticed this, too. It remained even after I'd left the window open for several hours. I believe the odor was a product of something that was done during the renovation, so hopefully this will fade over time. Aside from this, the room and hotel were quite nice, and I would be happy to stay at the Ashley Inn again.

RV/Trailer Parking gone
For approx. 9 years we’ve stayed here on our annual trips to the Dunes as Tillamook was about the half way point for us. It was very convenient since we tow a trailer and they always had space to park it in an empty RV spot not in use and without taking up parking spots. Now apparently they are more accommodating to the tiny homes renters than traveling customers and have suspended use of the few empty RV spots they still had open because tenants complained. It’s shame because we always had a nice stay there. You’ve lost us as a customer.
