Worst place ever, they refused us because I have a service animal for my epilepsy and turned us away and we were unable to get a refund.

Awful from service to looks of the place. I’d choose zero stars if I could. I’m now actually glad I couldn’t stay there
Awful experience! The morning of my stay I got a call from the woman at the front desk. She claimed the room that I reserved was no longer available and was I willing to take a single bed instead. I reluctantly accepted being that I was leaving in just a couple hours to make the 3 hour drive to bend. Five minutes later, she called back and said never mind we have your original room it’s fine. This made me nervous, but what could I do? Hotels were sold out all over town. I arrived a couple of hours before the event I was to attend and when I got there she told me I cancelled and said there were no more rooms available. Liar! Instead of getting ready for my concert, I spent the next few hours looking for a place to stay. The woman was rude and unapologetic about her mistake or should I say intention cuz I don’t think it was a mistake. Don’t waste your time at this horrible motel!

spend the extra and go somewhere better
It's not clean, it's poorly maintained, there was drug paraphernalia in the parking lot, and they follow some really sleazy privacy practices with credit cards and security deposits. I would not stay here again.

I was looking for budget friendly lodging for my week of outdoors vacation in Bend, and Sonoma Lodge had acceptable reviews on Hotels.com. It is centrally located for exploring Bend in all directions. Also, the neighborhood is populated with restaurants, so I had ample choices for dinner after returning from my day trips. The room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, AC, TV, and coffee maker. The room was clean and comfortable; I was pleased with my stay. Plenty of complimentary parking.

Unclean
I think the housekeeper just straight up forgot there was a bathroom attached to this room. There were dead ants ALL OVER the floor, pee stains on toilet seat and a used face cloth in the shower. Obviously hadn't been cleaned. Was so exhausted I couldnt even be bothered to complain, just wanted to sleep. Peaced out the second we woke up the next morning, after an uncomfortable nights sleep on an ancient mattress which almost sank all the way to the floor when we laid on it.
