Awful experience! The morning of my stay I got a call from the woman at the front desk. She claimed the room that I reserved was no longer available and was I willing to take a single bed instead. I reluctantly accepted being that I was leaving in just a couple hours to make the 3 hour drive to bend. Five minutes later, she called back and said never mind we have your original room it’s fine. This made me nervous, but what could I do? Hotels were sold out all over town. I arrived a couple of hours before the event I was to attend and when I got there she told me I cancelled and said there were no more rooms available. Liar! Instead of getting ready for my concert, I spent the next few hours looking for a place to stay. The woman was rude and unapologetic about her mistake or should I say intention cuz I don’t think it was a mistake. Don’t waste your time at this horrible motel!

spend the extra and go somewhere better
It's not clean, it's poorly maintained, there was drug paraphernalia in the parking lot, and they follow some really sleazy privacy practices with credit cards and security deposits. I would not stay here again.

I was looking for budget friendly lodging for my week of outdoors vacation in Bend, and Sonoma Lodge had acceptable reviews on Hotels.com. It is centrally located for exploring Bend in all directions. Also, the neighborhood is populated with restaurants, so I had ample choices for dinner after returning from my day trips. The room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, AC, TV, and coffee maker. The room was clean and comfortable; I was pleased with my stay. Plenty of complimentary parking.

Unclean
I think the housekeeper just straight up forgot there was a bathroom attached to this room. There were dead ants ALL OVER the floor, pee stains on toilet seat and a used face cloth in the shower. Obviously hadn't been cleaned. Was so exhausted I couldnt even be bothered to complain, just wanted to sleep. Peaced out the second we woke up the next morning, after an uncomfortable nights sleep on an ancient mattress which almost sank all the way to the floor when we laid on it.

The owners are terrible to me, and I am a PERSIAN GULF VETERAN
The owner s are being paid through the CAREs act to support veterans that are homeless. I have never been treated worse at any hotel ever in my life. They have accused me of smoking in my room.... I quit smoking 13 Years ago. I have not damaged anything. I clean and vacume my own room. They came and took my towels and trash(baged and tied). And wouldn't give me towels until the next day. They have now left a sign in my room that states i have plugged up my toilet the last 2 days in a row.... I have not been here the last 2 days... I have been treated like i am destroying the room, and i am in another country.... but worse. I would like to stay anywhere else. I am disgusted with their treatment funded by the CAREs ACT. This should never be allowed to happen again, to any veteran that served our country, to give us the freedom we so enjoy. I never expect any special treatment because I did what i was supposed to. But i at the very least should be respected as a person. The rooms stink, nothing close to the pictures they show. definately lucky to be 1 star, Please post this so that this is not allowed to continue with the 9.6 rating which i saw in another booking service, that would not let me comment. I have been here for a week and I am ready to leave and go back to my camp in the woods. It is so much better than this, even with no power or running water.
