Negative reviews are not my style, but my experience this past week at Sleep Inn, Ontario Oregon, is getting a negative review. We were charged way more than advertised prices, but after a long day of driving I was too tired to look elsewhere and accepted the room, which was on the third floor, next to the elevator. The ice machine did not work on that floor with directions to get ice on the first floor. The pop vending machine on that floor would not accept dollar bills. The drinking fountain on the first floor was out of order and there was NO water pressure back on the third floor for our shower. Which was another negative--the very poor layout of the whole room. There was absolutely no privacy for the bathroom area with only a pocket door to conceal the toilet. Dressing was done out in the open in mixed company.....The room did have a small refrigerator and microwave, but no coffee maker, nick picky little things but they did begin to add up. The back cover was missing on the TV remote and the side chair was filthy under the cushion. I would earnestly not recommend this motel as it is definitely not a good value for the dollar.
We were greeted by Tim on upon arriving. He was extremely helpful, very polite, and gave us information on their offerings here at the hotel. I have traveled all across the western United States, and this is by far one of our better hotel experiences. We will definitely be looking into choice hotels in the future.
IThe hot tub was broken. The bed was comfortable, but traffic noise made sleep difficult. No coffee maker Signs all over stating how much things cost as if accusing guests of stealing. Breakfast was basic. The coffee and hot water were cold.
I have stayed at this place twice, most recently last month. Place was clean overall, a little noisy. Bed was reasonably comfortable. TV was pretty iffy, very slow to lock in a channel, kind of like dial up Internet slow. Breakfast was very limited and the orange juice dispenser was out of order with limited alternatives. The room had very skimpy washcloths and towels, limited number, not one inch bigger than necessary. The bed comforter was so thick and heavy it was unusable for those who like to sleep with a blanket. Stayed at the Comfort Inn on the return trip and was worth the upcharge unless you are on a very tight budget.
Check in was easy. Staff was courteous and quick, which is a plus when you're checking in at midnight. Room was clean, an quiet, despite being quite close to the freeway. Will be be my go-to for stops in Ontario.
