Wouldn’t stay here again
The hotel was clean and close to the beach but , the beds were so uncomfortable and old mattress… Will not stay there again… I was also disappointed that the hotel didn’t have a continental breakfast , due to it was closed and the restaurant they had was as well … The parking was a little limited for such a big hotel …

Don't stay at Shiloh Inn oceanfront in Newport, Oregon
This hotel should be closed. The hotel is outdated, filthy, and extremely understaffed. None of the doors required a key card to enter the hotel because they were not working. The restaurant is closed as were both pools which was quite the opposite of the website pictures and descriptions. There were mattresses in the hallways, over flowing garbage cans and stained bed sheets. When you look at the website pictures be assured It is exactly the opposite.

Old, outdated, lack of services
We reserved a pet friendly room for 3 nights. We have 2 chihuahuas. There is a 25$ night pet fee non refundable. There are two buildings for the Shilo. The pet friendly side is the old decrepid smelly side. There is no grassy area out side this building to take your dogs to do their business. We had no maid service the entire time we were there. Took our own towels off the maids cart. Rooms are very old and outdated. Nice ocean view and that’s about it. In addition the restaurant was “for lease”. Only coffee available in the building was the crappy mr coffee pods in the room. The beach was lovely and we enjoyed our touristy things in Newport. Don’t recommend.

What a crap hole!!!
For $215/night we are in a sketchy, run down dump. I've taken some pictures to illustrate and this is far from everything. You can hear every word and footstep from people above you and in the hallway. Pipes are rusted and leaking all over the parking garage. The elevator lobby in the parking garage is supposed to be secured and supposedly you have to open it with your room card. Nope. It's broken and the door is wide open. Walls are dirty (god only knows what that brown substance is), carpet stained and ripped, bathroom door all busted up, bathroom tiles cracked, windows in the hallway are basically disintegrating, screen is bent. It's a beautiful ocean view, however it's marred by discoloration, weird spots all over and seagull poop. One of the light switches in our room doesn't work. There is a fan to plug in, which we were happy about because we sleep with a fan at home for white noise. As soon as we plugged the fan in my daughter asked if it was going to explode because it was making a godawful noise. The heater is one of those ancient long metal ones along the floor. It is all rusty. I'm seriously pissed and want my money back. I'm planning on posting this review as many places as I can. Nasty. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Top-notch customer service, awesome location
Only stayed for one night, but I was welcomed and attended to like a loyal regular customer. Shelly at the front desk, in particular, was super helpful and cheery, and easily accommodated all of my requests. The room was spacious and clean, the view was spectacular, and the location super convenient. Yes, the hotel is a bit on the older side, but it’s a great value, it’s clean and safe, and literally right on the beach. Thanks again, Shelly!
