Since our last stay, Schooner's Cove Inn added an elevator. So appreciated! But be prepared that once you get to your floor, that you may need to transfer your gear from the luggage cart (if you use one) to your room as there may be additional stairs between the elevator and your room. We love that you can reserve the ocean-view hot tub for a private 30 minutes, however, maintenance is needed on the rusted ceiling fan and only one jet worked on the tub this time. More to appreciate: chairs on the decks, gas fireplace in room, picnic tables & lounge chairs on grass lawn facing the ocean, a sand removal station, and proximity to town. We'll return.
Loved my stay but needs to be updated
This was our second stay. Seems a little more “run down” but it was a nice stay. I do think they should fix the screen door (holes in it) and as we mentioned when we checked out the couch was extremely uncomfortable. It tilted forward so you really couldn’t sit on it.
Great location right on Cannon Beach
Stayed here for 1 night in a second floor Captain’s Quarter with view room. We were a family of two adults and two kids under age 12. We did not hear noise from above or next door as some reviews mentioned. The place was very clean and welcoming, and the fireplace came in handy since the nights get cold. It’s not just ten minutes to Haystack Rock, in our experience, but we loved the walk. Very friendly reception staff and we also appreciated the fresh fruit, coffee and snacks available on the lobby. Would definitely go back.
On the Beach!
This was are first visit to Cannon Beach. It was so nice to just step out and walk the beach down to Haystack Rock. It was cool in May but still so nice to sit on the patio and watch the sunset. Big plus to be in town and just walk everywhere. We even used the tiny kitchen to warm up our leftover Tillamook Mac ‘n Cheese and have a light breakfast everyday. Having a partially separated bedroom and living room was a great. I imagine the town is packed in summer but for us quiet and peaceful. The only catch was a transformer blew one morning and we had a very cold shower lit by our cellphones 🙂
Our happy place
We have stayed here before, hence our stay this time. This time it was for a family reunion was in Seaside. We love the location, the staff and the beds are very comfortable. Very loyal customers here for several reasons!
