Rodeway Inn, Albany Oregon
Exceptional Rodeway Inn management and service staff. I loved my stay in quiet and service oriented community.

Ouch!
$150 a night at a Rodeway Inn? In Albany, Oregon? Simply not worth it, imo. Unfortunately, most of the surrounding hotels in the area are at or above this price level and I searched multiple websites. So what dd $150 buy us? We got a newly remodeled room with a King size bed (you save $20 for 2 double beds) on the ground floor. What we didn't get was breakfast. Despite the presence of a breakfast nook in the office, the only item available was coffee. The desk clerk nonchalantly said that occasionally the owner would buy some muffins on a Friday? Also, they should have put in more soundproofing when they did the remodel because you will know exactly when all your neighbors are taking their showers. Oh well, it was only for a night, but ouch it still hurts to have to pay that price.

Well updated and clean
Despite its proximity to I-5, the Rodeway Inn room we stayed in was very quiet. Even though the building may be older, everything was clean and fresh. Our stay was pleasant.

Great price, fully remodeled and clean.
Perfectly acceptable when you are traveling through. We travel to our parents house in California from WA and usually stop in Albany and spend much more to just sleep. We were happy to discover this place. Very clean and obviously recently remodeled, except for the shower stall. From now on this will be our go-to. With a first floor room, we just back up to it and feel very secure, ready to get back on the road in the morning.

PROBABLY ALBANY'S BEST VALUE
So typically when I choose a town with a motel or motor inn, I choose Best Western. However, in Albany, OR, the BW is right next door to the Rodeway Inn, and easily more than double the price. So yesterday I thought I'd check out the Rodeway Inn since it was a fast trip to the valley to get supplies (I live in Waldport on the coast.) Gotta tell you, for less than half the price of the BW, it's not half the motel......to be sure, it's a budget motel....but it has several strong points: 1) Squeaky clean, decently appointed rooms. 2) Safe and secure environment. 3) The price can't be beat....there are motels (also budget) right across I-5 in Albany that are truly "dumps" with homeless issues. The Rodeway has none of these issues. I highly recommend this place. I paid $68 plus tax, the same room next door at the BW, which isn't that much nicer in terms of rooms....was more than $160.......how much is hot breakfast worth? Went to Elmer's which is 5 minutes and had a great breakfast for under $20. Bam! I'll definitely stay at the Rodeway Inn again.
