Great location! Walkable to all the shops & restaurants along downtown. Friendly staff. The room was good, it’s your standard hotel room, comfy bed great views of the water and sand dunes. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5, thin walls we heard every conversation from our neighbors on both sides of us and i would ask for a top floor room because at 4 am we heard whoever above us walking around and moving everything, so we didn’t sleep as great as we would of liked. They offer comp breakfast in the morning which was decent for a free meal. I would come back for sure i would just get a top floor room. Also if it’s raining be careful on the left hand side (looking towards the hotel) of the establishment on the wooden planks they are very very slippery by the stairs! My husband slipped and fell & i heard a couple other people almost went down too!

Great stay in beautiful Florence
This is a great motel in picturesque Florence, Oregon, located right along the river and within easy walking distance of all the neat little shops and restaurants. My room was spacious and well fitted out, and it was quiet and I felt very comfortable and safe. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the River House.

Very cute hotel in such a quaint town. The location is perfect and had a good breakfast. Sarah at the front was super sweet and gave us some good intel on the town. Ashilea was there when we had breakfast. Also super sweet and fun to talk to while we ate. Really liked our stay. Thank you!

Please realize this review is based on a one night stay. The good…the motel is based in a very nice location within easy walking distance of a main business district. Easy and plentiful parking. The room was a good size and nicely kept up. The bad…there is no air conditioning, I can’t imagine staying here in the summer. When we got up and tried to shower, the water faucet would not work. I had to go to the front desk and the very nice lady came to our room with the needed tools to take apart the faucet and get the shower flowing. It was very evident that this wasn’t the first time. The breakfast area is tiny, it is expected that you take your breakfast across the parking lot back to your room. The breakfast food and coffee were OK at best. I expect more from a Wyndam.

Nice hotel in a charming town
We stayed here for a night as it is in an excellent location for visiting the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area (a must see!). The room was clean and spacious and we had a river view. The shower was excellent. Florence itself is a charming place. Would recommend the hotel particularly if visiting the dunes. Ask for a river view room.
