Standard hotel in a good location in the Pearl District. Highlights: - Walkable to restaurants we had reservations at - Nice staff - Happy hour from 5-6pm with discounted drinks and snacks -- Garlic cheese curds we'd like garlic bread in fried cheese from and potstickers were crispy. 4 stars - Small market with snacks and drinks by the front reception was handy - Indoor pool - Outdoor seating area with fire pits - Rooms were clean and had full refrigerators Lowlights: - Valet parking was $60 so parked in lot around the corner for $14

An excellent choice for Portland if you want to be in the Pearl District neighborhood. Short walk to the train station and a 20-minute walk to the Max light rail to get you to the airport. Journey time on the train, once moving, to PDX is about 25 minutes. Numerous tram stops just a couple of blocks away but didn't ride them. Hotel is very quiet with windows that actually open. Comfortable bed. Basic breakfast that is nothing to write-home about, but what you'd expect at a place like Residence Inn. You won't go away hungry, but you're not going to say "you've gotta stay for the breakfast." Helpful and accommodating front-desk staff. Bar/restaurant on-site with all of the ambiance of a hotel lobby, but great service and good if not limited, reasonably priced food options. Ample restaurant choices, including Mexican, Japanese, Italian and a Sports Bar just under two blocks away and just off the park. This part of town is about a 30-minute Uber/Taxi ride from the airport.

This hotel is nothing special. It is located near the river, but it is one or two miles to shops and restaurants downtown, in the Pearl District and on 23rd. We paid for a river view, but the windows were covered with an adhesive film - for what reason I cannot imagine - that obscured and distorted the view. The bed was comfortable. The room was small with a tiny closet, cramped bathroom and small television. The “artwork” was laughable. The furniture was meh and the weird placement of the mirror made it difficult to use. The room wasn’t dirty , but it wasn’t particularly clean, either. This room had a worn-out feel. I can’t imagine booking a room here in the future.

Great hotel
Surprisingly good experience at this hotel, which was sparkling clean and in a great location. Big room with cleanest shower I have seen in awhile. Breakfast is included. Valet parking is contracted out and costs $59/night, however. Staff, especially Roy, were accommodating and fun. Would stay again.

Great Location for Pet Owners (especially with their first floor rooms!)
We did an overnight trip to Portland and were impressed at the cleanliness of the hotel and great location. Unfortunately our normal hotel that we would stay at in the S Waterfront has declined in ratings so we were looking for another spot that was dog friendly. This was great and appreciated it was a flat $100 per stay for our pets. It was convenient with a first floor room to be able stroll outside through the courtyard to walk the pups. The only tiny nit is the one nearby park with grass was not dog friendly. Self parking was in a neighborhood garage right behind the hotel and was just $14 by the time we checked out the following morning. Great location and room!
