Acceptable for a quick one-night stay
As this was shorter than my usual stay in Portland, I was fine booking a budget hotel for just one night. And yep, this fits the bill alright. It's run-down yet clean. Noticed a few reviews mention the delightful staff, and I concur - the concierge was hilarious and welcoming! (Didn't catch his name sadly.) I was unable to take a nap when I arrived due to the loud traffic noise, being at the corner or two busy streets, but fortunately, that noise petered down at night. The bed and shower were both comfortable enough. There is do-it-yourself breakfast in the lobby, which results in some runny waffles, but at least it's there. Two blocks from the light rail and a 7-minute walk from the arena. Was fine for one night, but for longer stays, I prefer staying in the Pearl or Northwest.

Family Vacation Stay
We stayed here on a family vacation. Peter, the front desk man, was so helpful in explaining the transportation and sights in Portland. He mapped it out for us. He is the ambassador for Portland! The room was very clean and comfy. The wifi worked well. Parking was very secure. Perfect waffle and yogurt breakfast. We

Great Hotel! Location within walking distance of the Moda Center!
We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice room so close to the Moda Center. Although the outside of the hotel appears to be a little tired, the inside of the rooms are very comfortable, quiet and updated. Parking is safe and secure, and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the morning! Would definitely stay here again!

Saggy Smelly Sad
Filthy, smelly, unsafe, risky parking situation, and the softest/saggiest mattress I've ever tried to sleep in. My body was nearly bent in half. It was like trying to get in and out of a hammock. This was anything but a "Quality" experience.

A pleasant stay in Portland close to everything
I’m giving it 5 stars because I’m taking into account the price . Yes it’s an old hotel , but it is kept as clean as possible considering its age . the staff are very friendly and helpful. For example I arrived at 10am and asked if I could leave my bag somewhere until check in time did not expect to get a room , however he was happy to allow me into a room that early and we had a pleasant chat about my stay without him prying too much or talking incessantly. The rooms are very pleasant and well heated for winter . Very close to all the action including the ice hockey stadium, convention centre for the fan expo I am here for , and trains to and from the airport . Luckily I found that option on google maps, it’s not well publicised . it was either 30 mins on a train for $2.80 and a short walk , or 25 mins in an uber for $33!
