too much chlorine in their water. I got sick after staying there for a week, went to the doctors, got a medication to help with the infection.. So far i took all the medication and it has not helped. Other than that its chill and the staff is cool.
We have stayed at numerous Motel 6's in the western states and this one in Roseburg was one of the nicest overall. Quiet environment inside and outside the property, no security issues or sketchy people hanging around. They ask for ID on everyone staying. Although there were smoking rooms on the second floor, we did not smell anything in our room or hallway on the first floor. Staff we encountered were efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Property was clean and well-maintained. We even had the maintenance man coming through the lobby ask if we had anything he should address. This motel sits on a lot by itself along with a Shari's Restaurant, which serves very good food. The only negative I will add is the beds, which are often uncomfortable and uneven at most motels in this chain. These did need either replacing or turned regularly.
I stayed here in April, stopping in without a reservation, and found it to be clean, and the front desk staff was courteous and informative. There is a restaurant right next door, so once I parked, I did not need to leave again.
We were reluctantly in Roseburg for a wedding and booked a room here. We didn't reserve ahead of time. Disappointed there was no AAA discount. Front desk young woman did not seem to have much customer service skills. She put a mask on when we walked in, but each time we came in and out of the motel (about 3 times we left over the course of probably 3 hours), she was not wearing a mask and had two friends without masks sitting in the lobby across from the front desk. They were loud, saying the F word, talking about UTIs, and grandparents suspected to be swingers. My husband and I are far from prude, but c'mon, this is a place of business and some professionalism is required! The room had no microwave or fridge which seemed odd in the 21st century and paying $141 for one night. And there were no toiletries except soap. It's a good location in such a crappy town, but if you can make sure you have decent front desk staff (which you can't) then you could try staying here.
We stayed here friday 7/31/2020 while the pandemic is still happening. First getting there it was busy and didnt seem bad going to our room there was a used turned out glove in our door way. We figured at least the room was cleaned, or so we thought! We checked in late and went straight to sitting and watching tv, a few hours later I took a shower before going to bed and noticed hair on the ceiling of the shower! That's when I started looking more there was hair all over the counter and what looked like used rolled up toilet paper under the counter. That's when I took my flashlight to the bed and found long black hairs in the sheets! At this point it was to late to ask for a new room. At check out we told the girl at the desk that the room was a mess and the sheets looked like it wasent changed. She rudely told us no they are changed every time and brushed us off like she didnt care at all or was even listening! They guy at check in was super nice though. And our dog enjoyed her stay they have a nice animal area but it was not taken care of and had cigarette buds everywhere as well as dog poop that looks new as well as old...
