Oh my! Nothing offered here and barely any tv channels too.
-dated -old -zero perks -zero extras! -zero amenities! You get what you get! (Here!) It was the barely any tv channels that got me finally! Hoping at least quiet enough so I sleep overnight! No shampoo! NO Kleenex too....come on NOW! A 1st ever to not have both of these two essentials! I did not want to go and get or call on it as I had my own stash luckily! JUST WEIRD THOUGH when no breakfast and no anything here! Will NOT be back am sure. The bed frame is pure metal too and in the middle of the night when dark to use bathroom...a hazard big time for feet/ankles/shins! I will be leaving the light on in here!

No.....just no! Same price as a good hotel - but terrible!!!
Don't do it! I don't know what I expected from a motel 6 but for the same price as a decent motel, not having an AC unit in the room was not it! It was hot in town so we headed to the coast to cool off, only to find that the coast was also uncommonly warm. When we got to the room after kicking it at the beach and doing other fun things, there was no Air Conditioning in the room (so weird, I have never heard of such!) There wasn't even a ceiling fan. I tried to get a refund but the motel 6 manager refused because he "didn't advertise there was ac in the room." So I thought whatever, I will forgo the refund and go to another hotel, however, there wasn't another room to be gotten in town or the 3 surrounding towns, so we stayed. The bathroom smells like pee, the paint and drywall are peeling off the wall above the shower head, THE SHOWER HANDLE BROKE OFF and the water wouldnt turn off, the beds are NOT queen, they are full size. My husband is 6'4" and 250 and we barely fit on the bed. The sheet and the mattress protector kept popping off of my side (GROSS to wake up with your face on a motel 6 mattress) and the bed was very uncomfortable. No coffee pot in the room, there is coffee in the lobby but the lobby is LOCKED UP TIGHT and wasn't even open until sometime after 7. Most hotels these days give some kind of breakfast, but not motel 6! There was nothing, nada, zip lol not a big deal to us adults but the kids were bummed there is no swimming pool. There was no shampoo or conditioner (not that I use the motels stuff but so odd they had no complimentary anything). When I took a shower a wad of hair fell out of the towel when I unfolded it. (Ewwwwwww) The pictures on the website do not paint the true story of this jenky little motel. Oh and I have a fear of bridges and THIS motel is across the Newport bridge and there is no stores or food around this area of town - all is back across that bridge. I called the front desk when I couldn't take any more of the heat and asked if they had a fan. YES!!! WHEW! We were able to put the box fan in the window and pull in the cool night air. After waking up stuffy from whatever was in the air outside (I mean its the ocean so there's that lol) we were happy to get on with our day of fun and head back home! I guess a bad night at the coast is better than no night at the coast. :) PS they did come fix the shower handle right away and we were all able to shower!

Spartan but budget-priced
Get ready for spartan. The furniture is old and beat up around the edges, as are the wall corners in the rooms. But, there are sliding glass doors out to little balconies for fresh air and light, the room seemed to be clean, and it served its purpose (a place to sleep) on a tight budget.

Over-priced and no AC!
We made reservations at this Motel 6 because most of the other motels in the area were booked (mid-August). The price was exorbitant: over $200 (with AARP discount). It's just a basic motel. The room was clean and huge! Enough to throw a party for 20 people (though we didn't)! It did reek of bleach (I guess a sanitized room is a good thing). We had a fridge, micro and two large beds. However, there was no AC! Just a Cadet wall heater. So we opened the windows to cool the room, though I had to close them that night due to parking lot noise. It's in a weird, uninviting, industrial-like area. Definitely over-priced for what you get.

Horrifying
Horrifying experience. Neighborhood seemed sketchy, but I tried to ignore that since two people had told me this was a safe place to stay for families on a budget. Checked in and walked to our room, hall smelled strongly of pot, and there were people screaming at each other in a room three doors down from us. The room was grungy (perhaps they should rent these rooms by the hour instead??) but beyond the (excessively) run-down facility, the floor had loose change and other debris under the beds, and there was dried/old urine on the toilet. Since my children had come straight from the beach and were soaking wet and freezing, I needed to get them showered and into dry clothes quickly. I asked for a cleaner room. (Should have just left immediately, but I needed to get my kids taken care of.) Room number two was marginally less offensive than room one (as in, no visible urine on the toilet, but was still in horrifying condition). While my kids got the sand off in the shower and changed to dry clothes, I started calling other hotels. Sea Gypsy had a room available and gave us a fantastic rate when I explained the situation I was in, in an unsafe place with three kids in tow. I've never been so thankful to get out of a motel in my life. Lost money for the night, but counting ourselves ahead.
