Cheap
For two adults. One coffee cup. Two hand towels, no bath towels. Noisy plumbing. Putty oozing from shower flange. Bed was ok.

Lacking, unsafe area, unexplained additional charges
Hotel is very dated. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor so the whole room would fog up. Shower head would leak all night so the room was humid. Front desk was pleasant and helpful with recommendations of what they knew in the area but both were new to Portland so recommendations were minimal (understandable),location was convenient for us as we were on a road trip, looking to view the falls. I was charged the (75$) refundable deposit on check in, but was also charged 1.75$ for giving my cc over the pre check in, as well as 27$ in additional fees which was not discussed with me. On check out I waiting for about 15 minutes for someone to come chat with me at the desk and there was no one to be found, unfortunately we were in a rush to leave as we had a timeline to uphold, The young lady running the buffet ran around the hotel trying to find a front desk employee for me, the girl then came to the front and could not explain the additional fees only that they noticed this when an audit was run at the end of the night and she assured me these would be refunded. I have yet to be refunded the 75$ nor the additional 27$. Frustrating. Overall, an ok experience, a lot of I housed people in the area, and we were worried about our car parked outside. Hotel needs upgrades, and fees need to be explained and corrected with visitors.

Very small room but *very* quiet.

Welcoming staff! :)
The staff at La Quinta were very welcoming and kind when my family arrived. We really enjoyed the location, as it was close to everything we needed.
