Will not be returning
I am not one to complain but this one was one that I think you need to know needs help. The first room we went into smelled like my daughters feet after a soccer game (sour and smelly) and the a/c squeaked when on. We asked for another room. In the new room there was no smell but the a/c squeaked and rattled when it turned on and off. The walls are very thin because I was kept up all night by people walking, slamming doors, talking and g down the hallway. The 24 hour pool was nice but there were no towels for guests. We had to use our room towels. The bathroom floor was slimy after it got wet. The breakfast was average. The front desk clerk was very nice and the fresh cookies were yummy! Will not be staying here again.

Sub par Stay
When we arrived there was nobody at the front desk. This was at about 5pm on a Saturday. There were 3 of us waiting to be checked in.....finally about 10-15 min later, 2 people showed up. The room was very old and outdated, the bed was comfy and the shower was hot so that was a plus. It definately needed a deep cleaning for sure, carpet was nasty in some spots and sticky, items chipped and banged up on the furniture. Next morning I went to the breakfast room at about 9:10....yes I was late......the door was locked, but a nice man let me in so I could at least maybe grab some yogurt or something left to take up to the room. There was food still in there, however, all the dishes were put away so couldn't even get anything to go. (no paper plates, bowls or utensils) No go on the coffee either as it was out and so was the hot water. (I heard another guest asking for water at the front desk and she was told, there was none and she couldn't help her) I need 1 more towel for my daughter (there were 3 of us) and the maid said she had no more towels......like what is up with this hotel!!!!! Won't be back.

Friendly staff; dated hotel
Friendly and accommodating staff. However, hotel is very dated and rooms and hallways smell really musty. Comfy beds, though!

Stay somewhere else.
The current “construction” situation makes this property feel very unwelcoming. Signage needs significant improvement, as it’s difficult to even determine where to enter. There is also only one handicap parking space within reasonable walking distance of an entrance, which is concerning. At first glance, the room seemed acceptable, but there was a noticeable musty smell. When I got into bed, I realized the bedding was also very minimal—just two sheets and a blanket that was equally as thin. Unfortunately, the bigger issue was the smell. The bed had a heavy musty odor that made it difficult to relax. On top of that, the room next to mine was extremely noisy. I called the front desk multiple times throughout the night to complain, but the noise continued nonstop. When I finally left at 4 a.m., the same guests were still loudly talking near the elevator. Between the noise and the musty smell coming from the bed, I got about an hour of sleep before having to leave for a long day of travel. I’ve stayed at this location three other times, but this will be my last. As a Platinum member, that should say something. The front desk staff also seemed largely indifferent to the complaints, which was very disappointing. And to top it all off, my hair now smells like a moldy bed for the rest of the day. Very disappointed.

A Comfortable Stop Over
A very clean and comfortable room, that met our needs well. We would recommend this LaQuinta for anyone needing a basic room near the PDX airport and we would stay here again.
