Beautiful Beachfront Stay with a Few Disappointments
We stayed in Room 422 and overall had a mixed but mostly positive experience. Check-in was a big plus. We were able to get in early on a beautiful day at the coast, which immediately started the trip off right. The property was at max capacity, yet it was quiet through the night — something we really appreciated. The Room Room 422 is a larger unit with a small kitchenette and dining table, but it doesn’t have the same amenities as some of the other condo-style rooms we’ve stayed in here before. There’s no oven, and the kitchen supplies are very sparse — minimal utensils, no oils, and just small salt and pepper shakers (who knows how long they’ve been there). If you plan to cook, definitely bring your own basics. The balcony is large and the view is absolutely fantastic — right on the beach with full ocean views and the sound of the waves. That part is hard to beat. However, compared to surrounding units, the balcony furniture was very minimal. The bathroom is on the smaller side and the shower was just okay. The TV placement is unusual — you can’t comfortably watch it from bed, which feels odd for a condo-style stay. That said, the bed itself was very comfortable. If choosing again, we would likely select a different room we’ve previously enjoyed. Dining Experience We had dinner at the restaurant onsite. Our server, Kat, was fantastic — very personable and engaging. She made the evening enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the price point. • The prime rib lacked flavor. • The halibut with crab was very dry and described as “blah.” • The French fries were good and properly salted but a small portion for the cost. For the price, the meal didn’t feel worth it. On the positive side, my wife went down early one morning for coffee (before the restaurant officially opened), and they kindly gave her coffee for free — and it was good. We also ordered morning room service, and the gentleman who delivered it was very friendly and pleasant. Overall This is still one of our favorite coastal properties because you simply can’t beat the oceanfront location and views. The sound of the waves and beachfront setting are truly special. However, for the cost of the stay, we would be more selective about the room choice next time and likely dine elsewhere.

What a View!
We had a room on the second floor facing the ocean. What a view! Check in was easy and quick. Everyone there was so friendly. After checking in you have to drive through a tunnel and park your car across the street. The tunnel makes it safer and quicker! Having an onsite restaurant was handy. The pool is outside but heated! Easy access to the beach with a few logs to crawl over.

High cost for a motel 6 style resort
Truly one of the ABSOLUTE WORST experiences at a stay I think I’ve ever had. Checked into the room elevator smelled like tobacco, entire place smells a little like cat pee. My boyfriend was told to park across the street from the hotel in a sketchy lot that was full, then was told he could park with RVs even higher up and more sketchy. The room itself had unclean carpet, creepy estate sale decor and appliances, no thermostat to change temp. On the first floor THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED TO THE OUTSIDE BEACH AREA when we arrived (no idea for how long). But there was A randomly locked closet door in the room, a ton of mirrors with no real purpose. The key card just stopped working three separate times. The bed had a small thin blanket and they gave us a few pillows for a king bed. Overall I think this place may have been great in the 80s (my mom stayed here in her 20s and loved it) but it has gone SIGNIFICANTLY DOWN HILL and NOT IN PRICE. Love Lincoln city but 100% will be staying as far away as possible from this place.

We were SOOOO happy until the very end of our stay!!!
We had been planning this trip for a year. Carefully planned and very excited for this trip. Since I was a little girl I always have wanted to stay at the Inn at Spanish Head. We arrived to smiles and greetings. A beautiful room with INSANE views. The weather was like we were in late spring not the beginning of January. We spent 3 nights, 1/10-1/13/26. This was a birthday trip. We had a luxurious dinner at their Fathoms restaurant…a beautiful meal with great flavor and the $180 price tag was well worth every tasty morsel…and there in lies the issue. We just went to check out here 20 minutes ago and as we were checking out the issue began. I am not the type of person who charges meals and such to my room(I have been stung before)so when we buy meals or anything as such in the hotel it is paid for upfront. No room charges. We were discussing this review and how it was going to be a 5⭐️ review, but at the instant of check out the desk clerk was trying to charge us another $180 for our $180 meal we had paid for at the time we had eaten. She looked at me like I was lying when I said “No, we paid for our meal last night” she looked at me like I was trying to scam her. I pulled out my phone pulled up my bank account showed her the $152 pending charge at Fathoms and let her know there was also a $28 tip bringing the total to $180. She sneered and scoffed at me and then slid the receipt over and in a very unpleasant manner and said “There no extra charges. You’re paid in full” as she rolled her eyes at me. The last five minutes of our stay RUINED the entire experience. We had been talking about making this an annual trip every January. But because of that final interaction at check out SOURED the whole thing. Now we are going to have to find another place to spend our vacations

Worse meal I have ever had at the Fathoms Restaurant in Inn at Spanish Head, Lincoln City, OR.
Six or Seven of us have been going to Fathoms Restaurant in the motel for several years on Christmas Day in Lincoln City, OR. This was the worse meal I have ever had there. My linguine was clumped together. It wasn't really warm. One piece of bread and who knows what that was. I wish they had the fettucine noodles, but they don't. I am sure the ladies will want to go next year but I will never order linguine again. Perhaps a Cheeseburger.
