Bad Health Practice
I got so insanely sick off their continental breakfast. They put the stuff out cold and let the chafers warm it up instead of bringing it to temp first. I would not recommend eating any hot food from this location; they do not know good practice.

Quiet, comfortable, pet friendly!
This hotel is well maintained, in a convenient location for our purposes and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Jake went above and beyond welcoming us and making sure we’re well taken care of. Bringing our dog wasn’t a problem at all and Jake gave us a pet door hanger for our room. The room and the hotel were clean and in good condition. The breakfast offerings were delicious and not the same every morning. I will happily stay here again when I return to Portland.

Poor Management
My recent stay at the Hampton Inn Portland East was incredibly disappointing, and it all came to a head when I attempted to address concerns about missing packages with the on-site manager, Lincoln Wakefield. Instead of listening or attempting to resolve the issue, he was rude, dismissive, and openly condescending from the moment the conversation began. When I calmly explained my concerns, he made it clear he had no interest in taking responsibility or even acknowledging the situation. But the most astonishing moment came when I mentioned that I would be leaving a review about my experience—apparently that struck a nerve. His response? He suddenly decided to comment on my dog, implying she needed training, as if that had anything to do with the missing packages or the conversation at hand. Working in the hotel industry myself, I recognized exactly what he was trying to do: the classic “I’ll get you before you can get me” tactic, an attempt to paint me as the problem in order to invalidate my concerns. It was unprofessional, transparent, and frankly unacceptable behavior from anyone—let alone a manager representing a Hilton property. Here’s the simple truth: Just take ownership. Apologize. Fix the issue. Move on. That’s Hospitality 101. Instead, I was met with attitude, deflection, and a personal dig that had nothing to do with the situation. This experience has guaranteed that I will not be returning to this property, and I strongly urge others to think twice before staying here. If this is the leadership standard, it’s no wonder things are slipping through the cracks.

Updated and well maintained
This was a clean and well maintained property. Room was comfortable. Jake at the front desk gave us one of the best welcomes I’ve had in a long time. There is a nice brewery near by and the pizza is great.

SAFE Good Location! Modern Clean Nice Hotel with Friendly Staff
SAFE good Location! Hotel is modern and clean. Friendly front desk. Good pool/hot tub. Nice rooms/bath. Good beds & pillows. Good elevator. Good free breakfast. Parking lot has Security Vehicles for extra safety. Fridge has NO freezer section and was NOT cold. But ICE machine in hallway. Internet good. Please Note: we spent our 1st nite in DOWNTOWN Portland at a boutique motel. Unfortunately TOO many homeless and cars were broken into. Thus moved to this SAFE Motel in the suburbs.
