1) The hotel was being renovated. It's not a big deal, but I'd prefer they mention that when you book. I may have reconsidered my reservation. 2) My room had a stale scent to it. It reminded me of sweat. But maybe it was just weed smoke. I couldn't really tell. It hit me when I opened the door and just lingered, even though I tried running the extra-loud, old school A/C. 3) There is quite a bit of road noise that gets in your room at this location. Not an ideal location for a light sleeper. 4) But, really, like, do they not notice the smell? It's definitely not coming from the linens or the bed. So it must be the carpet or the A/C itself.
In the best sense, this stay was what I’ve come to expect from Marriott properties. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby was bright and pleasant and the front desk staff was great. It was very convenient to the airport and as a bonus, the nearby Bistro 23 was a surprisingly good spot for dinner!
Oh dear, where to start. First the positives: the room was clean, there was ice water in the lobby, and most of the staff were nice. Now the rest: the pool was closed for no discernible reason, the room was missing basics, the staff member who checked me in (even though I’d already checked-in the app) was testy and could not find a decent room for me (even though we already checked-in on the app), the breakfast food was dismal along with several standard machines being out of order, there was only cursory maid service (they didn’t even empty our garbage), and there was inly one functioning ice machine in the building. In short, this was a hotel swirling the drain and cutting every conceivable corner in the process. DO NOT stay here.
Generally a good hotel close to the airport with free parking. We did have a problem with the bathroom door getting stuck. Breakfast was good, and check out was easy. The check-in receptionist was OK, not particularly friendly, but strong on efficiency. We got our key with few words spoken.
A little older property but well maintained. Very easy to get to/from the airport. Highway access just up/down the street. Clean and comfortable. Some airplane noise but not too bad. Doors are close at night but you have key card access. Breakfast was simple stuff but was more than adequate. I'd stay here again.
