Hope Hilton drops a couple bucks into the plumbing issues soon, because we haye having to get comfortable at new places.
Been using this property since 2021 everytime we fly out/into PDX or taking kids to MEPS. We continue to use the property for its location to our needs. Since 2022 however we've become very disappointed, as the suites bathrooms (multiple rooms during multiple stays) are becoming unbearable. Hardly any shower pressure and the pipes turn if you try to adjust the spray features, causing a leak in every room we've stayed in since 2022 with that being 9-stays. Rooms we have stayed the most were typically on floors 3 & 5 by random assignment. Middle elevator has been broken for some time. Is this properties condition being let go purpose? For multiple stays in multiple rooms the shower tubs dont drain in a reasonable way and you get an ankle deep back up as you shower. Again multiple rooms in multiple stays. Also, the cleaning crew seems to have become less attentive to details(?). We are very happy with the front desk crews, always courteous and quick acting for things they can control. The shuttle driver fella is fun to talk with and polite AND TIMELY. The omelet chef guy is polite and friendly and makes a mean omlet. We hope Hilton drops a couple bucks into the plumbing issues soon, because we hate having to get comfortable at new places. Hilton Embassy are our go to when available while traveling.

Decent Hotel, but Extortionate Pet Fee and Frustrating Parking App
The Good: The hotel itself is nice and the atrium makes it feel quite resort-y. Room (suite with 2 beds and a sofabed) was clean and comfortable but had only the very basics - and coffee only. I was travelling with 2 kids so some hot chocolate mix would have been a very welcome addition. Breakfast was OK but the omelette station was superb. The Bad: $75 pet fee?!! For what? I've never paid more than $25 and had a water bowl provided along with poop bags and treats. I got NOTHING. Hotels have realised that people travelling with pets have no choice and are clearly abusing it. And, the car parking - OMG! They expect you to use a QR code and app. I had arrived at about 9.30pm after a 7hr+ drive and I was still trying to pay for parking at 10.45pm. I had to create TWO new accounts and then it wouldn't accept my card so I had to try others. None worked. I went to reception and they just put the parking on the cost of the room - why wasn't that an option when checking in?! I returned a week later and insisted I pay for parking at reception again - which was done - BUT I then found out there is no way of recording my plate and nothing to put on the vehicle so the possibility of getting a ticket is very real. These two negatives are enough to make me look at other hotels when I next do this trip.

Close to airport (noisy) but clean and comfortable
I was only in this property 6 hours, but my room was fine. I had room 412 and it was noisy on occasion due to the airplanes. I did use earplugs to help decrease the noise. The room is older style and the side chair is dirty and stained compared to the couch. But everything else seemed clean. The layout of the room was pretty standard, although the bathroom door makes it tight getting in and out of the bathroom itself. The airport shuttle was efficient and that is the selling feature for this property, proximity to airport if that is what you need. 5-7 mins max transfer time. I really liked the courtyard area and the water feature was relaxing, I just didn’t have time to enjoy it with a late check-in and very early check-out.

Great stay!
Great location near airport, food and other shopping. Big rooms with table for 4, separate living area from bedroom. Nice double head shower. Good sized tv in both living area and bedroom. Very clean. Lobby is beautiful. Huge variety of breakfast foods, hot foods, omelet bar. Only down side is parking fee and small parking lot.

Lifetime Diamond Member Disappointment
My recent stay at the Embassy Suites PDX was deeply disappointing, particularly given my long-standing loyalty as a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond member. I booked the hotel specifically for its convenience before an early flight, traveling with my daughter and 4-month-old grandson. To ensure a smooth arrival, I used the Hilton app to request a crib days in advance and confirmed its availability twice. Despite these confirmations, no crib was in our room upon check-in. immediately called the front desk to request one. After 30 minutes with no delivery, I had to go down in person. The receptionist was disengaged and offered no apology or urgency, merely a dismissive "Have a good night." The crib, when it finally arrived, was in a raunchy and unacceptable condition. For a $318 room rate, I expect reliable service and clean, basic amenities. This experience fell far short of the standards I associate with the Hilton brand.
