Avoid This Property: Hostile Staff and Unreliable Service
I live three blocks away and stayed here during a move. It quickly turned into one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had—and one I would strongly caution others against. While I was at church (7–8 pm), I received a 7:30 pm voicemail from the front desk (Darshan Davies, 04/26/2026) accusing suspicious behavior and threatening to call the police while I wasn’t even on the property—completely false and alarming. When I returned, the same employee was openly hostile and suddenly demanded a parking fee that had never been disclosed, threatening to block access to my room unless I paid. Being told you may be denied entry to a room you already paid for is not only unacceptable—it raises serious legal concerns. Another front desk agent joined to reinforce the situation, and they spoke to each other in their own language during the discussion, which was unprofessional. I was then told I could no longer book at the property. After I filed a complaint, corporate from Choice Hotels International apologized and granted 12,000 points. I extended my stay and made another reservation (confirmed by email). However, when I returned to pay, the same employee confronted me for filing the complaint and suggested I should leave. The manager then refused to honor my reservation, citing shifting reasons and falsely accusing me of smoking in the room. In practice, my confirmed reservation was denied after I complained. False accusations, improper threats, and denying a confirmed reservation after a complaint are serious red flags. This experience raises major concerns about how guests are treated, how complaints are handled, and whether policies are applied fairly or arbitrarily. I would not stay here again. If you value basic professionalism, consistency, and peace of mind, consider staying somewhere else.

Lousy treatment. Cheated out of 1 prepaid night. Lousy experience. Stayed at hotels globally -never been treated so bad
Lousy management. Requested to move a 2 night prepaid reservation by 1 day -they agreed. We arrived late and in the morning said that they never agreed and so our pre pay was only good for 1 night then they would not let us book 2 additional nights. Room next door was under construction from 0700’. Never been treated so badly

The rooms look like they are never cleaned them and they have bedbugs in the beds.
This hotel was very disappointing. There was a $200 deposit fee that we didn’t know about till check in and a $10 parking fee if we wanted to park in the parking lot. We got into our room and immediately we noticed how disgusting the room was. There were marks and stains on the walls, ceiling, curtains, carpet and bed. After looking around a bit we went back to the office and asked for a different room thinking that that one hadn’t been cleaned and they gave us another room. The next room was just the same. This time I took apart the bed and there were stains on every layer of the blankets and sheets and I even found an alive bedbug! Are you kidding me?? It was so bad. I took photos and videos in case they didn’t believe me. We went back to the office and told the man at the front desk about the room and the bedbug and he wanted us to show him what we were talking about. We all went back to the room and he saw the bedbug and wiped it off the bed like it was nothing. We asked for a full refund and he said that he could do that but it would take a couple days for it to get back into our bank account. This was just tonight so we haven’t gotten the refund yet but if we don’t get it within the next few days we will be going further with things to make sure we do get our refund. That was so unexceptionable to pay for a room and it turn out to be like that. They really need to take better care of their rooms and I hope that they do after this.

Nickel and Dime Hotel and you pay to park in the lot!!
This was the worst choice ever they demanded a $200 deposit but, let you know once you are ready to check in also, they charge to park in their lot after you've already paid for the room! The lady with an accent stated " NO DEPOSIT NO ROOM! I've been to many hotels as a travel nurse and many Choice Hotels in Oregon but, have never been demanded to pay a $200 deposit the max was $50.00 even at luxury big brand hotels.

Our "Home away from Home"
My husband and I have stayed here twice now, and it will always be "our home away from home" now. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but what really stands out with this Econolodge are the "inn-keepers". They welcomed us like family and provided for all our needs, and then some. It is rare to find a motel where one can be greeted with such kindness and warmth! This is a motel with HEART!
