The Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is adjacent to the Lloyd Center Mall and just blocks from the newly expanded Oregon Convention Center, Rose Quarter and Portland’s Memorial Coliseum.
Virtual reality is almost as good as being there.

Doubletree was Well Represented.
From my check-in to asking for a fridge to taking care of my issue- Alyas (who works at the front desk) never lost his smile and eager attitude of genuine kindness and empathy. I travel for business 75% of the time and have experienced a lot of different personalities working in hospitality. Unfortunately, things aren’t always perfect but how we react and how those in the service industries reaction, has a big impact on the overall outcome, naturally. Alyas has a true understanding of the meaning of customer service and has mastered the art of “putting yourself in another’s shoes”. Empathy, understanding and kindness are essential characteristics to have when working with those of us who just want to travel and be able to sleep comfortably while we are away from home. I am so thankful to have had my experience in this hotel with Alyas as the representative for Doubletree. My many thanks to Doubletree and Alyas for taking care of everything in such a professional manner.

OK stay. Minor room issue and hotel is dated.
Was in Portland for a conference and selected this hotel from the options provided. I liked the proximity of the hotel to the Lloyd Center MAX stop that runs to the airport and other locations. The hotel is definitely aged as seen from the outside and the rooms themselves. I initially selected a room in the Mezzanine level (210) which is actually underground below the lobby level. After a few hours in the room, I heard water flowing through the pipes above the A/C Unit which lasted all evening. I asked the desk if I could move and they weren't able to move me the first night. Next afternoon I spoke with Anthony at front desk and he moved me with no problem at all and apologized. (Shout out Anthony, thank you!) Room was smaller than previous but much quieter.

Third time is a charm!
This was my third stay at this particular Hilton property, and I have to say it was definitely my best! David, Matthew, and the rest of the front desk staff made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I didn't realize this was the same property I was going to be staying at because in the past, I wasn't completely satisfied with staying here. This time, though, they knocked it out of the park! The rooms were completely clean and up to my Hilton expectations with the most comfortable pillows and beds around! They made it easy for my daughter who arrived late in the evening to come to the room. Things really seemed to be bustling this time around and I was happy to see the hotel doing so well. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Portland.

Excellent staff
Excellent customer service by each staff member we encountered. The hotel and room was clean and felt safe. Tom in the restaurant at breakfast was so friendly and quick. Food selection was great. The men working the restaurant Sunday night were awesome. The meal was superb! Maintenance man Steven addressed a bathroom sink issue for us in a timely manner and was extremely courteous. For the inconvenience he even gave us complimentary breakfast tickets. He had to come back the 2nd day because we locked ourselves out of the bathroom! Constance at the front desk was accommodating and professional. We appreciated her extra attention to detail and her approach. Thank you DoubleTree Portland for the nice stay.

Helpers
I got a flat tire and needed help getting the old tire off. The staff was kind and incredibly helpful! Malia & Elyas at the front desk were very sympathetic and Malia came out to help. They called the EODs, Victor & Marius out as well. They were finally able to get the old tire loose. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me out. Thank you! Thank you!
