The Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is adjacent to the Lloyd Center Mall and just blocks from the newly expanded Oregon Convention Center, Rose Quarter and Portland’s Memorial Coliseum.
Virtual reality is almost as good as being there.

Walls are very thin
Pros: Room was clean, staff was courteous and friendly, transit stop was right by the hotel. Cons: Area around the hotel was pretty nasty (human waste was evident - downtown Portland!), room was pretty warm despite thermostat being set at 60 degrees the whole time, you can hear every word and noise in the next room (disrupted our sleep every night!!), standard hotel breakfast buffet (eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, fruit, breads, cereals) was an additional $21 per person plus tip, housekeeping on request only (so we had to request toiletry and coffee product refills daily. We did request housekeeping one time in our 6 night stay and they still didn't refill anything for us), handle was broken on ice bucket, ice machine was not working on our floor during our whole stay despite reporting that the first day, pool was closed our whole stay. If we come to Portland again, we will stay in the Cascades area, it was cleaner and safer than downtown.

Smallest room ever
This hotel is in a very convenient location. Very close to Moda Center and the restaurants and shops on Burnside. However, it was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in! Perhaps it was because it was one of the two rooms directly in front of the elevator on the second floor. I'm not sure. In any event, this room was literally half the size of any other hotel room I've stayed in. The was barely any room on either side of the bed. I also agree with other reviewers that the rooms could use some upkeep. Otherwise, the parking was convenient and there were lots of spaces. There was a cool little convention right in the hotel called Geek the Halls. Lots of fun! The staff at this hotel were also very nice and attentive. I got two cooikes upon arrival! One other thing to note is that they do not have a convenience or gift store. They have some food and drinks with a microwave, but nowhere to buy things like toiletries and medications. Very odd for a property of this size. We are unlikely to return to this hotel with so many other options in Portland.

Ok but not great
Doubletree has not changed since our last stay there, before 2019. The elevator still shakes, the staff is offhand and disinterested, the supplies are minimal. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable for hotel beds, but there was no feeling of: boy, what a great stay! It was, eh, good enough. The bathtub had no plug; the heat was finicky, noise from the road way was loud. At our meeting the kitchen/wait staff were very attentive, I wish the rest of the staff at DoubleTree were as good. TIP: The Cracker Barrel next door currently has take out only after 4pm due to staffing issues.

Must stay hotel when attending any events at the Moda center or Lloyd .
The cleanness of the hotel property was spot on , very impressed especially with being located in downtown. Our room was perfect, the housekeeping team did a wonderful job making us feel safe by providing a clean and fresh room . The afternoon manager (wore green shirt) on August 18 was very friendly and courteous to my family and I, he was very professional representative of your hotel . Will stay again! Thank you.
