2 am issues resolved by Marriott staff kindly
If I could give this hotel 1 million stars, I would when we arrived. We arrived to the wrong location in downtown Portland and they very kindly understood and then directed us to the correct spot. Every person we interacted with was so friendly and caring and genuine. And you can tell that they actually enjoy their job. We had an issue with a food delivery service and the hotel staff was very considerate about our situation and and the staff cater to our needs, but giving us a few snacks on them unprompted and just out of the niceness of their heart. Along with this, we originally ordered a one bedroom room and we were so kindly gifted with a two bedroom room with a fantastic view out the window. I just wanted to share my appreciation for this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in downtown Portland for a reasonable price.

I’ll never stay here again!
Looks like a nice hotel but it really is not. I checked in and as soon as I get to our room the TV is damaged. The room was dirty. There were toothpaste marks on the mirror. There was dust on the desk and cabinets. The shower doors were dirty. So they switch us to a different room. The room was slightly bigger which was nice but then I see the bed sheet have blood stains on them. I call for new sheets and when they deliver them they just place it on the floor and expect me to put the sheets on myself. Also when I go down to do laundry, their washer machines & dryers are dirty. I expected better from a Courtyard Marriott. Overall for the price, it’s not worth it. Location is pretty good, there is a food truck park in walking distance.

Excellent next time
I stay at Marriotts exclusively. It was good because of the staffs’ courteous manner. On Checkin was not offered options of points or food voucher? Or Bottle water. My bathroom had hair in the sink and the tub. There was no Shower Gel in the dispenser in the shower. Next time I hope it will be an excellent rating.

A comfortable stay
This is a beautiful hotel; and it is located in the heart of downtown Portland. It was a trip to see my dad, and this hotel wasn’t too far from his house. My only thing was that I wish they had microwaves in the rooms, but that’s not a big deal at all, it’s more so for the convenience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, especially room service staff that delivered my breakfast. My only thing with the room service, when ordering food through the website. There is no option for comments, so I didn’t get to ask for butter, jelly sugar with my food and coffee so I called the front desk to ask them to have them have someone bring it to me. They did, so it was great. Just a suggestion to make that an option when ordering room service. The food was delicious, and not priced too bad. I would definitely stay here again, when I visit Portland.

Great location for city exploring
Great value for its central location. We used transit to get around easily. Room was clean and well furnished for our three night stay. The attached restaurant seemed mostly closed or otherwise had short hours. Would return.
