Very Noisy Room - Street Noise with Loud Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles
They even have white noise machines by the dresser. I wish I knew this before I booked. I ended up with a quieter room, but it was 2 double beds instead of one king bed so my wife and I slept separately. No discount or refund was offered.
We had training here for a new career and used their conference room and stayed 3 nights, and let me say they go above and beyond their staff was excellent. Also their food is very delicious and open late.
Customer Service Not Customer Oriented
I stayed here because I was taking a flight the next day. I took the train up there and called about a shuttle pick up. Miguel made that difficult because I didn't know there was more than one train station (as someone not native to the area, I didn't know) and he didn't explain that to me, so he directions were impossible to understand. I had to pay for a lyft because their shuttle was only to/from the airport. After checking in, it only got worse, because the woman ( I wish I had her name because of how disrespectful she was) who assisted Miguel in checking me in was condescending, rude, hurried me through the process, seemed like she couldn't be bothered to be welcoming or provide any information. She didn't even properly acknowledge my status; just "here is your room key, we have wifi, the elevator is over there". Then when I needed to book the shuttle the next day, I called and chose a time, then the person I spoke to had to call back and confirm it because he forget within minutes of my call. Side note, not once did a staff member introduce themselves on the phone. (The only reason I knew Miguel's name was because it was 15min between our conversation and me checking in.) But while I, and several other guests, were waiting in the lobby for the LATE shuttle the nght auditor was just hanging out in the back office. The only reason she came out was probably because of all the noise of bags rolling across the floor at the same time. I would NEVER stay here again if I could avoid it, based on the staff I encountered.
Perfect for our Park and Fly needs and in/out of PDX airport
We stayed here two nights, prior to our flight and return from our trip. Since our flight was very early the next morning, and returning around 10 pm on our last stay, this was the perfect location. The morning complimentary airport shuttle departed on the half hour. It was fast and efficient. Megan was the Front Desk person both stays; she was very helpful and friendly. When we returned, there were quite a few people that arrived at the same time. The shuttle was full, but we all got to hotel after 15 minutes or so. First night our room faced the very busy Airport Way. If you are a light sleeper, be sure to have ear plugs or noise cancellation headset. The traffic was heavy and went quite late. Our second night room was located in the back, that made a huge difference! Not sure how you can ensure a back row room. It would be desired for sure. The rooms were super clean and spacious. We liked how the sink is located outside of the bathroom. That made it easy for two people to get ready at the same time. It also has the bistro on site. We got coffee drinks even though it was late at night. The Park and Fly program is well done. They do not make you put a sign on your car dash. That probably would make your car a theft target. Instead, they take down your car information. We parked our car right in the front close to the main entrance. We had no issues with our car upon return. This is exactly what we look for when selecting a hotel near the airport.
NO sleep hotel.
The purpose of a hotel is to provide a good nights sleep. This was due to street noise.Check in and parking were great.Room was very basic.Bed was small and uncomfortable.Anyone taller than 6 feet would not be able to sleep in this bed which had no headboard ,foam pillows.Street noise was extremely loud, traffic went all night.Breakfast extra. This hotel is not up to Marriot standards(we are bonvoy members).Needs to be demolished and rebuilt with modern standards of noise control.
