Horrible shuttle service- do not recommend!

Location is horrible, transients everywhere, causing all access doors to be locked at all times - one must use the key card or ring the bell. First sign then the property, not what I expected from a Country Inn & Suites, i expected something nicer, plush and cozy. Room meet the bare necessities, okay bed, very small bathroom.

This hotel can use a serious update, but I loved it. It was comfortable, clean, and has the most amazing staff. There is a large amount of homeless people in the area but not on the actual hotel property. We never had issues with the homeless getting in our way and causing any problems. Don't let the other reviews scare you off.

Where to start the receptionist both need a few lessons in customer service the young man on this evening and afternoon has a terrible attitude and yawning all the time , I have a health problem which means I need extra pillows all I got was we have run out they is a problem with laundry . I am so disappointed in this hotel we have used the chain before with excellent quality. We haven’t got to bed of had breakfast yet but I am so dissatisfied I have booked 3 rooms one of the rooms had marks on the cover we had to change it ourselves. Breakfast was very poor 7 people in our party and no one enjoyed it very little hot food no eggs or anything helthy yougut,fruit etc. I did a reviewon booking.com and they asked i contact them which i did and still no responce they is also a problem with homeless in the area which makes it feel unsafe , keep looking for another hotel

Outstanding value from this chain hotel, very well located for Portland international airport. Also only about a hundred yards from Interstate 5, very convenient for outings south into the heart of Portland or north to Seattle and beyond. Excellent seafood restaurants on Tomahawk Island (mere minutes away) and a host of interesting restaurants and shops just down the road in Kenton (apparently up-and-coming but still with a bohemian vibe). As others have mentioned, the area immediately surrounding the hotel is populated by many homeless people, but this seems true for much of Portland now - security was very much in evidence and we felt safe at all times. The hotel is a bit tired and would benefit from a refresh, but the bedrooms & bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was basic, but perfectly acceptable - very much as expected from a hotel of this class. Staying at the weekend, it became clear that the hotel is popular with teams competing on the adjacent sports fields. The cleaning staff struggled to cope with the mud traipsed in by lacrosse players. But that is a minor grumble. Overall - excellent value, comfortable and very convenient.
