Caring, Compassionate Staff
We just checked out of 2 rooms that my family were staying in while my son was in ICU at Salem Hospital over the past 2 weeks. The hotel rooms were comfortable, clean & the breakfast was very good. Most importantly, the entire staff were professional, caring & compassionate after his passing & made this incredible burden somehow easier to bear. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Horrible
This hotel used to have great staff. I have never had an issue with them until now. I came in to see if I could check in early, and the front desk said they had no clean rooms available. No problem, I had been waiting in the lobby with my duffle when a man comes in and asks if he can have early check in. The front desk finds him a room no problem. Then when I came up and asked that they had rooms she said that was their only one. At which she them says she’ll give me a king room. Then proceeds to give me a double queen that when I went to the room, they were still working on. Not sure if my treatment was because I’m military or what but this treatment was the worst I have ever had.

Wish it were better.
Liked: 1) friendly front desk staff. 2) easy freeway access 3) restaurants nearby. 4) spacious room with desk and comfy chair for reading. 5) convenient breakfast included. Disliked: 1) checkin delay: we and other guests were asked to wait for rooms not ready due to a shortage of housekeeping staff. When we returned there was a long check-in wait time with a lone front desk agent valiantly and patiently juggling multiple patrons checking-in, calling, and walk-ins. Whatever they are paying him (Daniel?) should be increased as he is one of the few bright spots for us at this hotel. 2) room worn looking- no towel hooks or racks in bathroom or main room, rattly (and dirty) bathroom fan, mismatched bulbs over sink lend the room a poorly maintained look. 3) noisy- from kids playing in the hall, and from nearby freeway, although windows make a pretty good attempt to dampen it. We thought this hotel was relatively expensive, likely due to being in the capital city. We recommend going elsewhere if able for better value and experience.

Won't be staying here anymore
Have stayed here many times for work since it was relatively close to where I needed to be. It was always ok but nothing to write home about. However, it has gone down hill significantly the las few years. Recently we have experienced the following: tubs that don't drain, toilets facing the wall, air conditioners that don't stay on, people living in the parking lot, vehicle prowls, multiple dirty rooms, roaches and more. There are other options nearby that are much nicer for the same price.
