My wife and I stayed here for one night with our small puppy. Room is a bit on the small side, but OK just for one night. Bed was comfortable however the pillows are very small and uncomfortable. Bathroom was clean and serviceable as was the room. Breakfast in the morning was similar to what you would see at a Holiday Inn express. They had waffles, cereal, omelettes, sausage, and various pastries. I would stay here again.
Good stay again, except for the noise. This stay was good again like the last time we stayed here. The only concern was almost every night there was a lot of noise, like people running and jumping all night long in the hallways, room and most of the time it sounded like it was coming from the room above ours. This would go on till midnight, the worst was till 2 in the morning. Aside from that the breakfast was great, being greeted every morning by Robin in the breakfast room. She always made the day start off good. Other than the noise it was a great stay again.
We usually trust this hotel chain but perhaps no more. Well used mattress topped with a flimsy pad that kept pulling up at night. Lukewarm hot water for the jacuzzi. Truly moldy smelling lobby and halls. Room smelled of too much freshener. Cramped tiny breakfast area with typical fare. Staff was bored and disinterested. Oh! And the pillows are those terrible cheap things that collapse to almost nothing as you lay down your head.
This was my first stay at this Comfort Inn, so I had no idea what to expect, but it is very near our daughter's home, and the rate was extremely reasonable, so we thought it was worth a try. Early in the stay, I coughed all night, and when I told Susan at the front desk that it might be due to air quality, she had it taken care of that very day. I think they vacuumed or changed the filters and super-cleaned the room. I slept peacefully for the rest of the stay. Susan also helped track down a container of earrings that I had mistakenly left behind and held them for my daughter to pick up. A breakfast buffet is pretty much a breakfast buffet, but two things made this one stand out. First, they had croissants, and I LOVE croissants, but they are very rare in hotel buffets. Two, and even more important, was Robin, the lovely lady who tended to the food. She kept everything hot and fresh, but more than that, she greeted each guest with warm smiles and friendly words. When my husband and I return for future visits, we will definitely stay at the Comfort Inn.
There are few positives. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job and the lady who is charge of breakfast does a great job as well. That’s it for positives, now let’s talk negatives. I had three issues during the week. I dealt with three different clerks. All three said they would be unable to address them because according to each “they” and “them” would have to take care of it. It was never clear if “they” and “them” were management, a different shift or maintenance. Additionally, three of the exterior entrances locking mechanisms were broken. One of which is the one one the picture section of this page from 2009. “They” should get “them” to take care of that. Lastly, you do not smoke do not expect the smoking policy to be enforced. The first room I was given absolutely reeked. The second one was smoke free but repeatedly would I walk done the hall into smoke clouds coming from rooms.
