TripAdvisor Ratings & Reviews
I've stayed in Lincoln City several times since 2008 and Captain Cook Inn is the only place that has improved over the years - at any price. First, it's the oldest, still standing place to stay in Lincoln City. It has that classic feel and aura, including the old radiator heaters, yet everything is modern and clean. Second, it was very clean. Of course, we all expect clean. However, in my experience the more amenities a room has the more things the cleaning staff might rush to clean or miss entirely. Coffee grounds left near the pot? None. Microwave not cleaned from an exploded frozen burrito? Nada. Completely tidy and clean from stem to stern! Third, behind the office was a place to sit, in nature. A quiet place to sit, read, have a beverage and just enjoy the ocean air & pleasant breeze > away from the headaches of ... well you get the idea. At least for me the point of coming to Captain Cook Inn and L.C. was to get away and be coastal. Next time, I hope to stay longer.
Rip Off - Fraud and Scam
I had a reservation. They called and told me I no longer had a reservation. They charged my credit card anyway. This place is a rip off. Do not give them your debit or credit card number they will call you and tell you you don’t have a reservation and charge you anyway. And then when you call they will tell you that they will only refund half of the money. What a rip off.
Booked online drove 2.5 hours reservation not honored!
This establishment is unethical. Don’t stay here. Drive 2.5 hours to find that even though I had a confirmed reservation they declined to honor it. Three customers waiting for service and no one at the front desk. Images attached. Highly unprofessional!
Cute American motel
We stopped over night whilst driving through Oregon. Clean room, decent shower and we all slept well. The guy in the office was super friendly. It’s not 5* but you won’t pay 5*. Definitely recommend for a stopover.
Quaint older motor lodge
We are returning back to eugene as we drive by on Oregon 101 in lincoln city there it was We turned around went to the office where we discussed our stay here. She was very and helped us getting checked in. As I said it is older but well kept up. Pet freindly and reasonable we paid $69.74 which included room, pet charge and taxes. Don’t miss this in Lincoln city Oregon like a oasis in the desert great place to lay you head.
