Nice and quaint
The hotel is very quaint and recently updated. The room, while small, was comfortable. Very peaceful and quiet. Menopausal women beware, there was no air conditioning and even at the end of September, it was very warm in the room and there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Also, it would have been appreciated to have a small bar of hand soap. Otherwise, nice place.

Delightful
We had been staying at a different hotel but thought this place looked really cute .So we booked our stay during King Tides,we loved the renovation of this Inn without loosing its classic charm. And it was super clean and quiet, plus people who run it are great people👍

Nicely redone
This motel has just done a very nice complete renovation, inside and out. We stayed here a couple years ago, but it is better in every way. The bed was super comfortable, new linens, redone bathroom, great location. Management is very accommodating and helpful.

Lovely stay! We are grateful!
Doug was so kind. We had trouble getting there (there was an accident on the freeway, then a road closed), and arrived quite late, with no cell service to contact the motel... I had visions of having to sleep in the car...eventually we were able to call, and he made it possible for us to check in later, and we were so grateful. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Thank you!!! We hope to return!

Dog friendly and clean, if a bit spartan
The room was pretty clean, the staff was super-friendly, dogs were allowed, and the price was extremely reasonable. I really wanted to give this motel a 4 star rating, because I was really impressed with the staff, price and location. BUT the room was cold, on a January day. The thermostat, when set at the highest setting reduced the chill a bit, but not by much. What saved the day was the portable heater that was in the closet. Without it, well.....this review would be much less positive. The fact that there was a spare heater available tells me that the staff is aware of the issue. It's an older property, so without re-doing the heating system, that won't likely change. Also, the wi-fi didn't work. FYI, there's no a/c, but there was a fan in the closet. There's a bit of noise from Hwy 101, but it wasn't too bad, just noticeable. So, it's a respectable option, but you might want another choice during the heat of summer or the cold of winter.
