I'm a repeat customer of the Capitol Hill Motel and plan on continuing to choose this motel when I come to the city (3 - 4 times/year). The location is perfect for what I need. This is a place with some real character. It's convenient (you park right outside your room - free parking, by the way!), CLEAN, affordable, nobody above you stomping around (tip: run the room fan when you sleep to drown out any outside/road noise), and great staff/owners. Peter is great and I'm so happy to have met him and support him and his business. If you need a concierge, valet, room service, and a pool, and to be in the downtown area, this is not the place for you. If you need somewhere clean and safe and not too far from downtown to rest your head at night, I highly recommend the Capitol Hill Motel.

Great stay!
Chose this based on location of some things we were doing in town, worked perfect. Room was very nice, quaint. The full kitchen was very good to have, however there were no items in the kitchen to use so we went out and bought a pan to make some food. Room was clean, fairly quiet even being next to the interstate.

Decent basic motel. Clean. Fairly quiet despite its location on busy Barbur Boulevard and Interstate 5. Friendly desk help who replaced my lost key card at 10:00 pm. A classic old-school motel with nice upgrades. I’d say it exceeded expectations.

Pleasant surprise
This is an extremely well managed hotel outside Portland. The room and grounds are immaculate, the staff very pleasant and the surroundings safe. There is mandatory daily room cleaning that keeps the environment from being shady. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for the surprisingly pleasant stay.

Great and cheap motel
Cute little motel with friendly staff. Bed was super comfortable and we slept well. There was some traffic noise but it didn't bother us. Bathroom was a little dated and could use renovation, but it was very clean and everything worked just fine. For a cheap motel, this was a pleasant surprise.
