A favorite to return to
ALPACAS! Fun to watch from their pasture fence or from our upstairs bedroom balcony. Beautiful alpaca quilt on lobby wall. Professional, pleasant office staff. Parking spaces easy to drive to and from in the extra-wide drive. Beautiful room with entry and bathroom slate floor (my absolute favorite kind of entry and bathroom floor), knotty pine ceiling and closet doors (my fav kind of ceiling and door), and log & twig furniture (like in my dreams). Spacious, clean room. Soft lighting not bright enough for me to sew, so I bring my headlight. Bathroom rain shower (shower head on ceiling, water falls vertically) not what I prefer because 1. I don't wash my hair every day, so I must use a shower cap (provided), which wastes resources and creates plastic trash and 2. showering body but not head requires bending uncomfortably. Breakfast included three choices of eggs: packaged hard boiled or plain scrambled or scrambled with spinach, tomatoes, and cheese--NICE! Sauteed potatoes, sausages. Biscuits, English muffins, toast... Waffles... Cereal and milk... Fresh fruit--NICE! Etc. But breakfast didn't start until 7 a.m. in early May, so on the day we wanted to leave early to go hiking, we ate our own breakfast in our room. We had good dinners at High Camp (Himalayan) and Sisters Saloon, and outstanding avocado tostada with chile verde pork as well as sea enchiladas at Rancho Viejo. Not my first stay there and not my last!

Wonderful lodge
What a spectacular little gem in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. We had a business conference here and it was absolutely beautiful in May. There is an alpaca farm on site and lots of deer just resting in the grass. The rooms are very spacious. we had one upstairs, and I had high ceilings, a really nice couch and table an extra long, king, bed, balcony, and very spacious bathroom. We were able to walk to town very easily were there are the cutest shops and great restaurants. The forest & beautiful Mountain View’s are within 20 minutes. We loved it here!

This hotel offered all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Very clean rooms, nicely furnished. The location is perfect for accessing the beautiful area. Restaurants are close as well as lots of hiking. We will return to the Best Western Ponderosa.

Trip with our grandson
Fantastic property. We've stayed here for many years and it is always at the top of our list for places to stay. The staff exceed our expectations each time we visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel property is above and beyond. Set in the forest it is beautiful AND quiet. We hope to visit again soon!!

Ponderosa Perfect!!!
Ponderosa completes your perfect stay in Sisters. The grounds are tall pine and juniper trees and grass lawns for your furry loved ones to enjoy if you so choose to bring them on your adventure. Deer and chipmunks and we had perfect weather to boot. They have over 30 alpacas to enjoy watching in the lawn near the front. The covered hot tub is out Daughter's favorite part. We were on the top floor in a double queen bed room with pine vaulted ceilings, live edge furniture custom made in Corvallis Oregon and carpet that imitates wood. There was electronic jacks in several places for charging your phone or laptop and Seattle's Best Coffee in your room for fresh brewing. The room provides the most amazing scented argon oil hand lotion, shampoo and conditioner so no need to bring yours from home. In the past we have enjoyed their yummies in the breakfast room, but this year we ate at The Cottonwood Cafe which had the most amazing corned beef hash! We also highly recommend Rancho Viejo for dinner (opens at 2:00). We absolutely LOVE the Ponderosa in Sisters!!!
