Sunset views and great staff
I am a Newport local and came to BW while the sun was about to set. The Adirondack chairs facing the ocean, while the sun setting, is magical. The location is perfect and the discount menu provided to us locals is greatly appreciated.

Relaxing , quiet stay
First class service, immaculate rooms, excellent proximity to beach, easy parking, nice outdoor firepit area. Pets allowed.

For the variable room prices paid ($339 and $429), we found this place to be terribly dated and very much in need of an interior update. Carpeting throughout and an extremely large amount of guests with dogs throughout the property? Outdoor fireplace area was a nice and warming spot to view the ocean. Attention General Manager (Risk Management??): On 13 July, a serious incident took place in front of the elevator on the top floor of the hotel. A guest unfortunately was tripped by her dog's leash. She was moaning profusely, as obviously in a lot of pain. Other guests' dogs were present too and barking incessantly at the now loose dog protecting her fallen owner. A mess!! The way this incident eventually was handled (call ambulance, take witness reports, a game plan, something??) by hotel staff was far from professional and greatly lacking in efficiency. Compassionate and caring fellow guests ultimately did more for this poor lady than did the compensated employees on site.

Nice beach-view hotel for enjoying the Oregon coast
We had an ocean view room. It gave a nice view of the beach and ocean and made for a pleasant stay. There are firepits on the property, and that was handy since it was pretty cold - even in July. There were plenty of games and activities provided by the hotel so there was a variety of options to stay entertained.
