Pretty nice
Overall a pretty nice place. It has kind of a retro feel, but modern enough. Nice view, as is always mentioned, and clean and comfortable rooms. The 3-bed family suite was good value for 3 adult siblings traveling together. It is not walking distance to any restaurant or pub, but they sell beer and wine if you want to stay put and have a drink to watch the sunset.

Avoid if you want a nice experience
Our visit to the hotel could have been better. When we arrived our room was covered in plastic and we had to avoid getting paint all over ourselves. I tried to talk to the management but they were not on site and the staff was not able to assist. If they had provided a discount due to the inconvenience then I would have been happier, but we paid full price. It has potential, but customer service has to improve. I would avoid this hotel if you want to ensure a nice stay in Astoria.

Horrible experience
Absolutely horrible experience. It was our anniversary and we booked thinking we were going to have amazing views. The room was completely taped off with plastic. We could not even open the patio door. When we brought this to their attention all they said was we will let our manager know. Well nothing happened and we left staying at another hotel. Worst customer service.

It’s all about the view!
We chose a double queen suite so we could have a first floor room and a view of the water. We were not disappointed! We had so much space and we enjoyed drinking our coffee watching the big ships and cruise boats as they moved up and down the river. Breakfast was always from the waffle baker, but there were other choices as well. The rom was very clean and the bathroom are was spacious. I would definitely recommend this motel!

Do not hesitate to book!
What a gem of a place!! This is THE place to stay in Astoria. Beautiful lobby, breakfast area, patio, hot tub all looking over the Columbia River. Great friendly employees. We loved watching the sunset from the hot tub. need I say more. Please experience the Trolley ride when visiting Astoria, a wealth of information.
