Old uncomfortable mattresses
We have stayed 4 separate times from Thanksgiving week to just after Christmas traveling from home to California. The location is great being next to the freeway. The property and grounds are nice. We traveled with our two dogs—which makes me wish that the floors were vinyl instead of carpet, it’s probably pretty gross. The rooms are large, our tv, microwave and fridge worked. My one huge complaint is the beds, they are hit or miss on comfort. The last one I slept in was sagging and I could hear the coils in the mattress. It was so uncomfortable that I probably got about 3 hours of sleep. They really need replacing. We will most likely stay at another hotel for our next trip due to this.

Can it get any worse?
I wish there was a minus this is a dirty stinky hotel! The carpets are so filthy you can actually smell the dirt. There is a restaurant but that’s it. The tv didn’t work, the AC had a broken knob and would set up. All together a nightmare of a night! I will have to go to another hotel just to shower filth off my body. Horrible

Second stay here. Maybe again?
Very nice spot. Would feel better if they had security walking around the place at night. You know travel and cars and your stuff. Needs maintenance, ie breakers broken causing no TV. Luna cafe long wait.

The chillest of them all
This hotel was so chill and relaxing. The room was quiet, comfortable, and homey. The bathtub was big and the water nice and hot. The bed was soft and pillows were abundant. There is a cute little porch outside a sliding glass door. The staff was super kind, and Luna cafe was excellent. I would go out of my way to return.

Not worth money avoid this place
Here’s a draft for your 1-star review of Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites, based on your experience: ⸻ ★☆☆☆☆ I reserved a King Suite with a view, but instead was given a first-floor room facing the parking lot. The so-called kitchenette is useless—no utensils, no basics, nothing provided. The overall quality is far below what the photos suggest. They only “clean” your room and make the bed every three days, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this price. The place smells old, and it’s really just a run-down motel disguised as something better. To top it off, the staff is rude and unhelpful. Definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
