Very cool!
I was a little iffy when booking this place, but it was more-or-less as it appears. A funky old-fashioned "resort" with a retro, but really more eclectic vibe. Rooms was kind of retrofitted to be modern enough, and were comfortable and clean. But any lack of modernity was more than made up for by amenities. As mentioned in other reviews, it is not right on the beach. It is a few blocks walk to the beach including a hefty set of stairs to the beach itself. No matter. I found the staff helpful and friendly. The s'mores, croquet golf and especially the gas fire pits were quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed on the days I was there, so was not able to sample. The three-bed (including sleeper sofa) family suite was great for 3 adult siblings travelling together.

Too noisy the traffic kept us awake all night long.
the rooms are great, but the sleeping horrible if you sleep in the front room. No a/c and no fans and car and sirens all night long. Super nice place but worst place because the sleep was horrible.

Eclectic and clean
Fantastic, rustic, eclectic, clean, fun. Parking great, little dog park, beach close by, loved the bed and shower and furniture, wood paneling. Fun gift includes fixins for s'mores, fire pit. So different from the stale hotels of today. Great service. Only downside was people upstairs moving furniture at 10p.

Needs a facelift!!!
Things are extremely well used. The whole place needs a facelift. Extremely poor lighting in the rooms. Shower was so small. My husband could barely fit into it. Beds were comfy. People were nice, and the pizza was good. I don’t think we would stay there again. Just seemed very old and in need of attention.

As stated
Creaking floors, very much old, very small shower stall, paint peeled shower walls with no where to put soap or shampoo. Minimal shelving space. Very poor maintaining needing renovations. Best part was bed was comfy n lots of towels. Do not recommend
