We were in town for a basketball tournament. The management team was dealing with issues from certain teams being disruptive. Instead of trying to deal with the issue, the management team lumped the teams from the tournament into one group with teams coming from all over the country. During the evening of the incident, our team was having a team dinner outside of the hotel. Instead of dealing with our team with professionalism, the night management team address the parents of our team with passive aggressive behavior. We felt the night management team was being lazy. Even though the morning management team was professional, cordial, respectful, and responsive, the overall experience is not what we usually associate with the Marriot brand. We definitely will not be staying at this hotel again, especially when there are so many other options in downtown Portland.

Our stay at the AC Hotel Portland was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. This property truly understands hospitality, and it shows in every department. A special thank you to General Manager Katie Ortiz for leading such an exceptional team. The level of care, professionalism, and warmth throughout the hotel was impressive and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The front desk team was friendly, efficient, and full of great recommendations for things to do and places to eat around Portland. Housekeeping staff we interacted with on the floors were kind, attentive, and clearly take pride in their work. The bartenders were knowledgeable, engaging, and created a great atmosphere, and the valet team was prompt, courteous, and made arrivals and departures seamless. It’s rare to experience such consistent excellence across every touchpoint, but AC Hotel Portland delivered exactly that. The hospitality felt sincere, thoughtful, and above and beyond expectations. We had an amazing stay and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!

Great location & Lost item returned
We were actually bumped to this hotel from the radison across the street. That always makes one nervous, but rolled with it. BIG THING - We left a tablet behind, called and left a message and thought it was lost for good, but then received a call from the Housekeeping staff that they had it and it has been returned to us! Of course this makes this hotel high on our list for their honesty and willingness to follow up until it was resolved. Breakfast was good, and staff was attentive. Rooms are clean and comfortable. When we checked out, we were charged for breakfast, when I reminded them that we were moved from the hotel and were promised breakfast was included it was immediately taken off with apologies. TIP: If you are flying in and renting a car...stay here use their pick up service from and to the airport - to pick up a rental. We did this and avoided paying the expensive parking. Much to see and do is within walking distance and for the parking savings you can easily uber. Would definitely recommend and return when in the area.

The room and hotel were great, and everyone was friendly. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the restaurant is just the bar. I was expecting a restaurant because we did not want to leave the hotel.

Great stay just like you would expect from AC Hotels
This hotel was clean and comfortable as other AC Hotels that we have stayed at. The only difficulty we had was locating it. The streets leading to it are along the sides of the hotel. You can't see the front sign unless your GPS tells you that you have arrived and you really look for it. The room was clean and quiet and the staff was as friendly as you would expect. The offered recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area and that was appreciated.
