A hidden gem! We hate to share.
The drive into the Westcliff is nothing special. The front of the building looks more like a 1960's roadside motel than a high-end hotel. But once you enter the area around the courtyard you understand this is not just another outdated stop along the highway. The grounds are beautifully planted and immaculate. The areas facing the river are designed to invite you to stay a while. We stayed here as a halfway point coming home from the Oregon Coast. The staff was awesome, the room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfy. I wish we would have had more time to explore Hood River. We will be back.

A Suprising Gem
For our stay we loved the grounds, the ease of parking and access, the location and the suites with kitchenette. The rooms were immaculately clean right down to the house plant on the dining table. We would love to visit again.

Roadtrip
Stayed overnight on the way to the coast. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We made reservation in person after next door was full. Will definitely stay here again. Older rooms however clean and very roomy with a nice balcony overlooking the river.

Great value in Hood River
The Lodge doesn’t look like much when you first drive up but don’t let that put you off. It has lovely gardens and grounds with paths and seating overlook the river. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable and having a kitchenette was a plus. It is only a 5 minute drive to the center of Hood River with many restaurants. It is also near a Safeway grocery store.
