Ideally situated next to Portland’s Pioneer Square and the MAX light Rail, the Nines rests atop the landmark Meier & Frank Building and is a contemporary homage to the structure’s storied past both in its striking decor and impeccable service. A magnificent contemporary art collection by local artists graces each of the 331 guestrooms, including 13 luxury suites. Plush bedding, 42' HD Televisions, and twice daily maid service completes the picture of approachable elegance.

The People Make The Place
The hotel is very nice. Nothing to complain of that I can see. But the front desk staff were terrific. Jayden and Esmira, in particular, helped with adjustments to my reservation and gave me recommendations for things to see in town. They were the right level of engaging. If you go, ask Jayden how long it takes to fly across Australia.

My favorite stay in Portland
Third stay at The Nines and every time excellent. Beautiful corner room w free upgrade. Delicious celebratory gift courtesy of Cruz. Made us feel like a million bucks. Every person we interacted with was friendly and professional. Great stay!

First time to Portland
While The Nines was a nice hotel, restaurants very good, staff very courteous - the 5 star of this hotel is the concierge department. From the initial email to the assistance while at the hotel, one feels absolutely welcomed in a caring unobtrusive way. Cruz and her team were the best concierge department I’ve encountered over many countries. They are to be highly commended. Thank you for your personal attentions before and during our stay.
