Redeeming PDX one stay at a time
Can find no fault, rather MSH exceeded all expectations from room price and size to the saved and last garage pass, to wine tasting and cheese, to locals info on MAX transport, to affiliation with Cheryls, which was off the hook!! MODA center is readily accessed by MAX rail both to and fro, no issues at all. Parking in lower garage s quite squeazy, if you can get it, but worth it to me at $32. Parking options across the street may be acceptable as necessary. Especially in light of some PDX trepidations, SMH redeems the city one stay at a time!! So impressed, I have made reservations for another stay!
Wonderful Hotel, Staff, Location - Located in the midst of numerous restaurants, bars, Sizzle Pie, Powell Book Store, Movie Theater and a 10-minute walk to Voodoo Donuts - A winner! The staff was friendly and helpful. The 5 p.m. complimentary wine was a nice touch.
Great Little Hotel
Love the corner suite room, bed was great, and lobby/facility was very clean. Walking distance to anything you could possibly want. Only issue is tiny parking garage (Parking $) and bathroom door didn't lock. But overall would definitely stay there again.
Perfect location we were able to walk to all the restaurants and shops. Parking garage under the hotel and also across the street so that wasn’t an issue either. Staff was kind and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Definitely will be staying here again.
A new clientele at the hotel?
In 10 years of staying at the hotel I've had many good experiences and I love the location with Whole Foods or restaurants close by, a movie theater close by and Powell's books closeby. I was momentarily shocked to be greeted by a syringe and illicit cigarette smoke in the hallway of the Washington Plaza. Maybe this is a one off? I'll be observing.
