A Business Trip That Felt Like a Vacation
My husband and I stayed at the Hi-Lo Hotel during a business trip in July, but the incredible service, amenities, and location made the visit feel like a true vacation. Our room on the sixth floor was fantastic, with beautiful high ceilings, an incredibly comfortable bed, and a wonderful bathtub that was perfect for a relaxing soak after a busy day. Every detail made the stay feel comfortable and special. Casey, the General Manager, and Bobby, the restaurant manager, were both exceptional. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail truly elevated our experience and made us feel genuinely welcomed. We had such a memorable stay that the Hi-Lo will now be our hotel of choice for every trip to Portland. We can’t wait to return!

An excellent hotel experience!
We live in Portland but recently spent a night away downtown to celebrate my husband’s birthday & stayed at the Hi-Lo. We had no idea the building had so much fascinating history & it’s been renovated with so much intentionality, while keeping the guest experience at the center. The staff were super accommodating & kind, and the room was very comfortable. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Wonderful staycation at the Hi-Lo
What a hidden gym in downtown Portland! We booked a last minute staycation and so happy we stayed at the Hi-Lo! Staff was incredibly friendly and efficient (valet was very quick in retrieving our car) and the room was super clean and spacious. It's worth getting a workout in at their gym which was much bigger (and stylish?) than I expected. Had the best beignets in their restaurant. Will definitely be back!

4-star trying to downgrade to self-downgrade to a 3-star because of destination fee gimmicks and missing amenities.
Things you should know: No fridges in the rooms. They will haul one up for you if you ask. No ice buckets. You can get one if you prepare/ask. This is a so-called "4-star "autograph" level" hotel - does not meet the bar on those points. Also no water, but they have bottles you can take down the hall to refill. That's ok with me. The rest: Rooms nicely decorated and quality beds, linens, pillows. Staff was really nice. They have a gimmick with a destination fee that you can use to get a drink with - that silly game - not a fan of that. They do that here. Think about it -every business class 3.5 star has these amenities. Why go backwards and pay more? These gimmicks make me put the tried and true in front before booking here.

Highly reccomend: wonderful people & accommodation
Amazing team, perfect accommodations. I was coming into town for the Starlight parade and will be staying again when I’m next in town.
