Great Stay and very helpful staff, definitely the coolest hotel in Hood River. Food and spa were super and we did not get to experience the whole Hotel so we will be back (we didn’t even see the rooftop patio and bar) Definitely recommend !

We had the most incredible weekend at the Lightwell! Beautiful building & decor. The staff was great & the spa downstairs was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hoodriver. I also loved that it is right downtown next to all the yummy restaurants, coffee and shopping!

My stay at Lightwell was very enjoyable! The hotel has recently opened after extensive renovations and is absolutely beautiful--the pictures don't really do it justice. It still feels like an historic building, but all the modern touches make it a lovely place to relax. My favorite part is the sauna/spa area. A nice big sauna and soaking pool that are beautifully appointed, and not just an afterthought. I can't wait to stay here again!

Great place after skiing!
Great location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I love the decor and feel of this hotel. It’s very cozy and not your basic hotel motel experience. The spa area in basement is great! Be warned though it’s all about heat. Use the shower next to pool to cool down and extend your experience. Lobby bar has few but great choices for entrees. The drinks are excellent and the energy is very nice. I’ve stayed here twice in a month while skiing at Hood and highly recommend it to singles or couples especially.

Many other much better options in Hood River. Hotel rooms are not well insulated...EXTREMELY noisy EVERYWHERE. Can hear people above you, outside your room, and outside in the street. SO LOUD and very unrelaxing! TINY extremely overpriced rooms, with zero water pressure, no bathroom fans, blinking green fire alarms, and poor heat regulation. SPA has zero noise proofing and is very crowded! Might be a nice place to go for a drink and a meal when the restaurant opens but definitely do not recommend a stay here!
