Celebrating a special birthday- not the best experience at the restaurant
First of all - no where is there a warning that you have to go down a flight of stairs ( no elevator) to get to the restaurant. Very hard to navigate with someone in our dinner party who has a walker. Food was fairly expensive - not sure it was worth it. Ordered a prime rib dinner and asked for it to be 'medium' cooked. Definitely came out well done - Service started out great, but because we weren't ordering drinks etc. we decided that our waiter didn't want to wait on us so he pushed off our table to another 2 waitresses. Positives:Atmosphere of restaurant was nice. The 2 waitresses helping us at the end were friendly and accommodating.

Above and Beyond
At last night's anniversary dinner at the Jacksonville Inn Restaurant, our lovely, sparkly server Dani went above and beyond. Learning of my need for a nonfat dessert, to my utter delight she concocted a confection with fresh berries and nonfat Greek yogurt (bringing two spoons, of course). Then, to my astonishment, in honor of our 25th, she comped us her delicious creation. That she is the very talented chef's granddaughter positions her to use her ingenuity; that she works with passion, compassion, and good taste comes from Dani herself. This young lady is a gem. Jacksonville Inn Restaurant is indeed fortunate to have her.

Quality Historic Stopover in South-Oregon Wine Country
Very comfortable, current rooms in a historic Inn with wine bar in/as the Lobby. The tiny town of Jackson is a great stopping point between Crater Lake and Redwoods, CA (with a midway stop at Oregon Caves NM). The town is full of winery tasting rooms and a few cute shops. Mondays and Tuesdays are pretty quiet and a lot of shops close at 5:00 so afternoon visit may be advisable.

Bad service
Waited for an hour for drinks and bread with no apologies. Checked on drinks and the waitress said she would go make them herself. Food took over an hr to arrive. Again no apologies from staff. Staff are frazzled, lazy and inattentive. Entree portion was decent for the fish or meat, but the side that was presented with it were so tiny. Won't be back.

Disappointing
We really went here with high hopes. We were very disappointed. Our food was very late. Over an hour waiting for food that had been cooked prior; example prime rib. Avacodo soup. The meat was cold. The side dish was scant. Our waitress forgot one of our entrees. We had to ask for salt and pepper twice. The final receipt was mixed up with our other family members receipt. Just one of the worst experiences in restaurant history. We won’t go back.
