Disappointed
The meals were were very good but what was up setting the prices you pay for your entree and on top of that your salad and soup are extra come on give me a break. The service was average and the employees very good. Will I go back only time will tell.

Somewhat disappointing but still a nice evening
The Jacksonville Inn has a lovely, old time classic feel to it, complete with waiters in ties. It had the making for a very nice evening. Unfortunately, we experienced several mishaps. First, I ordered a martini from the menu but asked for it not to be "dirty." I got a dirty martini. Oh well; the blue cheese stuffed olives were worth it, so I drank on. Next, they brought the wedge salad we ordered to share. Except it was a Cesar salad. We sent it back and we received a delicious wedge, with apologies from our waiter. Our mains were fine; my husband enjoyed the duck special but my mushroom lasagna was lacking in flavor. It just felt like an off night. We might give it another try, if we're in the area again.

Incredible cocktails, food, staff, and setting.
An incredible experience. This was not our original destination but we went in for happy hour (cocktails and pomme frites) and were so captivated by their dinner menu we returned later for dinner. It did not disappoint. The bruschetta was fantastic. My husband had a very well-prepared New York, and I had the Parmesan-crusted halibut. Truly the best halibut I’ve ever had. And the risotto!!! ✨Chef’s kiss✨ The cocktails were amazing, as well . Staff was incredible and the setting was cozy & intimate with a real vintage feel. I highly recommend - 11/10.

Never on a Monday
We had an unfortunate and expensive dining experience. The service by Cedric, and ambiance were nice, but not so the food. The highlights were the dressing on the lettuce that came with the overpriced, two SMALL crab cakes ($20.00). The crab cakes were BLAND. The pot de creme ($10.00) was delightful. A suggestion is get the food out when it is hot. After our dinner we were told that Monday is the regular Chefs night off. Wish I could leave a complimentary review as they were highly recommended.

We will miss the Bistro menu
We were frequent customers of the bistro. Sadly the new owners have done away with the entire Bistro menu. We will miss the Jacksonville Inn. We are local residents of Jacksonville and were frequent customers of the Jacksonville Inn Bistro throughout the year.
