Lovely old hotel but needs updated
It’s an old hotel which has great charm, but the rooms are SMALL (there were not enough outlets) and we got placed in an “inside” room which looks straight into another building and below was a rooftop. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were only there for one night, so it was fine for the 14 hours we were there. Bed was comfortable.

Hotel Lucia
This is a lovely, clean hotel in a perfect walking location. There is water, coffee, and tea available during certain periods of time, in the lobby. My room was lovely, clean, and quiet. Appointments are what you would expect. There is a Happy Hour where a couple of beer selections are available. Overall, just a very pleasant stay.

Amazing Artistic Hotel!
What a gorgeous little hotel in the heart of Portland! Erynn welcomed us early and (for a small fee) got us into a room 3 hours before checkin! The art throughout the hotel is so fun to look through, coffee every morning and water/tea every day…plus a daily *free beer happy hour?!? Yes, please! Hubby and I stayed in a “deluxe” room, and it was just fine for us, but honestly small. The bathroom especially was tight - I’m 5’3”, 130 lbs, and I found the bathroom difficult to maneuver in! If you need more space, consider a room upgrade, for sure. Otherwise, we loved everything about this spot! Walking distance from the waterfront, easy access to public transit, amazing food (and food carts) nearby…we loved our stay!!

Overall mediocre experience
The pricing is deceptive. When booking through the hotel site there are booking fees, tax recovery charges and facility fees that drive up the cost another 60%. Also they gave a 4pm guarantee your room will be ready. We didn’t get our room until 4:40 despite requesting an early check in at the front desk. We received nothing for their failing to meet their own guarantee so it is meaningless. The wifi is awful. I would not be over zealous in saying it is useless. It has been this way for months. 3 days without at least towel service in your room is too long. Every room should be serviced every 2 days at least. I Appreciated the water and coffee in the lobby. I’ve been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. I will be rethinking my lodging and not choosing The Lucia next time I’m in Portland

Disappointed.
Not pleased with room size, beds and towels changed daily. I was asked to bid up to a larger king size room and it was smallest room I was ever in.
