Booked this hotel because it was close to the Moda center for a show myself and my friends were attending on Sun night. The hotel was welcoming, clean and very comfortable. Staff were kind and extremely helpful. Food was delicious and roof top bar/restaurant was a fun treat. I will definitely refer, and stay here again!!!! Thank you
Stayed 2 nights to watch basketball at MODA and loved the easy 7 minute walk from this beautifully updated hotel. My room was very comfortable and with nice amenities. The rooftop restaurant is must a visit with their really good food and happy hour. Also good coffee and breakfast cafe near the lobby was a good start to my days. This area has so much potential and I do hope to see it revitalize soon. Great staff, they are all very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable - thank you, I will visit again!
Was extremely pleased with the valet service, 10/10 for sure! The room was very comfortable and clean, the front desk service was very kind and straightforward. The only problem was the noise from the Tri-met but they do provide ear plugs to help compensate, it’s out of their control to completely block out noise.
Hotel Eastlund is part of Best Western's Premier Collection. I have stayed at this property many times as a leisure traveler. It's conveniently located 1 block from the Portland Convention Center and 2 blocks from the Moda Center (where the Trailblazers play and also home to big name concerts). There is a Max (Light Rail) line directly in front of the property making it easy to get around without a car. The hotel is also less than 10 minutes from Union Station (Amtrak). Hotel Eastlund is modern with lots of good amenities. One nice feature is having USA Today in the lobby everyday; this is not something you see much more at hotels. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. Plenty of food options walking distance from the hotel including and not limited to: a Denny's outside the North entrance; a Red Robin 1 block to the North and a Burgerville just to the West (across the street). There is also a Starbucks and a 7-Eleven within a 2-3 block walk. The Hotel has a morning only (closes by 11am I think) coffee shop called Wild Bean. They sell pre-made breakfast sandwiches long with yogurt, muffins, etc. They will also cook you breakfast if you'd like. 2 important things to know: Wild Bean does NOT accept cash and they are not run by the hotel so you CANNOT charge things to your room. Also, since the hotel is so close to the Convention Center you may encounter a large number of people who are attending a convention getting their morning coffee and/or breakfast. At the top of the Hotel is the Metropolitan restaurant. This is frequented not only by people staying at the hotel but also people who are attending conventions who are staying at other hotels. There is a large rectangular bar as well as ample seating. During the warmer months there is outside seating. Pro Tip - from the lobby there is an Express elevator to the restaurant. Take that to avoid stopping at floors for hotel guests getting off and on. On the south side of the Hotel is Amphora Wine Merchant. They are are open Tuesday thru Sunday. Great place to pick up a bottle of wine to bring back to the room or grab a glass of wine there or enjoy a sandwich, light snack. A few other things to know: As mentioned Hotel Eastlund is part of Best Western so might as well join their membership program so you can earn points. Plus once you reach a certain level you receive 2 bottles of water complimentary at check in. If you drive to the Hotel, overnight parking is not cheap ($35+ I believe per night). This is comparable to other hotels in the area and it's much safer to have your car parked by the valet versus street parking. At time of booking look for a parking "package" which will reduce the cost a bit. Lastly, when checking in ask for a room with a city view. The views looking North, i.e. - looking at the Denny's parking lot is not nearly as nice as looking West or South towards the city.
This was the best hotel experience 10/10 would recommend going here for a getaway. Kind attentive Staff. Even in the busy hours they may sure we were taken care of. Definitely the highlight of our vacation. We will definitely be back to visit!
