Paid for a king suite. The couch was tore up leather with a fitted sheet over it. The shower was not hot. The bed was comfortable.

The golden age of Hollywood-themed Portland hotels is over.
It's been a few years since I've stayed here (pre-pandemic). I'm sad to say that Hotel deLuxe has lost its luster. When we arrived, there was nobody at the door to open it or offer valet service, as there always was. There was only one person at the front desk, and she was overwhelmed and inexperienced. She told us that my favorite part of the hotel, The Driftwood Room, was closed because they didn't have anyone to staff it. We brought our small 11lb dog and paid the $65/nt fee. We were given a room on the 3rd floor, right next to some giant industrial motor. The sound from outside the window was very loud and non-stop. The HVAC fan was also very loud and would have to be turned off if we wanted to get any sleep. The front desk was kind enough to move us to another room as the noise and the condition of the room (cracked vinyl on the ottomans, a cover on the couch, etc.) was dreary. The photos of films that adorn the hallways are fading and discolored, now. The carpets are dirty, everywhere. The hotel needs a good cleaning, some more staffing and some magic pixie dust or something. I'm sad to say I won't be returning until I hear it's been restored to it's old glory of the 2010's.

Front desk guy, Andrew was truly amazing. Attentive, high energy, kind. Erin in the restaurant was so friendly and helpful. An amazing location and restored “old-fashioned” place. The decor was a joy to experience

On bloods it was cool
I think it was great and the bed was lavish me and my girl enjoyed it they was very divirest to me my check in wa very fast and I will be going back again I give them six starz thank you and the price was very doable and it was clean

Stepping back in time.
This is a lovely older hotel near downtown Portland that has been refurbished. The room was clean and comfortable. We slept great! The bar is cozy and the restaurant (Gracie’s) is very elegant and serves excellent food. It is currently only open for breakfast. We hope it expands that. The theme is old time Hollywood and you feel as though you have stepped back in time. I recommend the hotel, the restaurant and the bar highly!
