I LOVED this motel!
This little motel exceeded all my expectations. So many amenities that you’d never expect: a fabulous view of the river, free glass of wine on arrival, wine tasting booklet provided with free tastings to nearby wineries, exceptionally comfortable mattress, super quiet nights, generous grab&go breakfast (eggs, fruits, pastries, etc). But the best of all was Candy at the front desk. She made us feel so welcome and helped us with all our silly requests. I’d stay here again strictly based on her friendliness!
Filthy Dirty bathrooms with dried food spit out in the bathroom sink during Covid-19 Pandemic
We walked into the bathroom and nothing had been cleaned. The bathroom sink was crusted with spit out food and toothpaste. The washcloths were used, hanging on the towel rack but all other towels had been taken by the maid. No soap in the bathroom or shampoo & conditioner. We told the receptionist Kristina Lagewaard. She made us wait for 30 mins. and told us she would put us in another room that she had checked. We had watche her outside and never saw her go across the road to either the old or new room. We went to the new room, and same thing, the bathroom was filthy. She had also previously told us that the rooms had been sanitized for Covid-19. While waiting in the lobby for another hour, another customer complained about the same thing so obviously, none of the bathrooms had been cleaned. Normally, this is of course not acceptable, but during a pandemic? She said they were short on staff. Why were they renting out dirty rooms then? Why wasn't someone cleaning if they were short, even if it wasn't on their job description? Unbelievable. None of the guests were wearing masks and we did not see any signs asking people to do so, or stand 6 feet apart. We ended up being transferred to another hotel which was much cleaner and had Covid-19 signage.
Good, solid hotel stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Celilo inn. Though we were just passing through, we ended up staying 2 nights and then returning for a 3rd on our way home. The views are beautiful from the spotless rooms. Large windows in the rooms (that open!) along with a patio overlooking the dam offer a beautiful setting to watch the sun set. They offer coupons for dining and wine tasting, suggestions for things to do, and a free glass of wine! Comfortable bed, fridge and microwave in your room, and stumptown coffee for breakfast make it a perfect stay! My only suggestion would be that the mask rule was better enforced during this COVID outbreak—otherwise highly recommend this hotel!
Renovated with Amazing Employees
The Inn was above average in every way. They provide all guests with a free breakfast and a friendly welcoming staff. My interactions with the front desk were always handled quickly and accurately. I had a lot of changes to my plans but the front desk was a huge help to me in every way. Paula was always a huge help to me, make sure that my needs were always met 100%+..
Amazing Hotel with a awesome Wine Passport
What a wonderful hotel with friendly and outgoing staff like Candee. Candee is warm and pleasant and convesative. I love how she offered restaurants to eat at and things to do at The Dallas. Celilo Inn is warm and clean with luxurious bed and room ambience. Thank you for a lovely weekend with the romance package and wine passport was the highlight! We will be back!!!
